Chicago Fire defender, and Philadelphia native, Jim Curtin was interviewed by yours truly. check out the interview in the SoB news archive HERE
"If I had the money I would knock down all those terrible clubs on Delaware Ave. that Pat Burrell hangs out at" Classic! Maybe Pat could keep his head in the game finally
Very nice! I've always loved Jimmy which is why I made sure he was on my Philadelphia team in FM2007.
Dill Great job on the interview. The Philly papers are a bit light on the coverage. Hopefully we can carve out a column at the Inquirer or Daily News to provide regular team coverage. We may even want to look into a sort of Philly digest edition for all things soccer in and around the city.
I think Ford and Smallwood would cover the team for the Inquirer, and Paul Vigna has been kind to us at the Daily News. They aren't covering anything right now because they are not being given anything to cover. The news about the stadium is out 7+ months after the group finalized plans to lobby the house. They are good, damn good. And I love it. Remember in expansion, sometimes silence is.......
Great interview Andy. I think Jim is a classy guy. Love the sibling rivalry between him and his brother on the Fire. Let me know when you are ready for a Albright or Convey interview.
i had hoped jim would contact some of the other philly natives ... but yeah, it'd be nice if we could get more of these.
i love to do some self-quoting AND revival of older threads ... something will be online very soon that should really get everyone excited. oh, and first post updated accordingly.
Sorry no luck yet. I found the emails with us talking to him about the interview but not the interview. I've changed computers a few times since then. I'll see if it's on my old one tonight.
