how can they be relegated? if Dalian get destroyed by tianjin and liaoning succes to win by a lot vs changsha Liaoning should be up front except if they count like special differencial like Dalian win once vs Liaoning and one draw but i think in this case is when the teams r equal in points and goal difference.? but i didn't read the article so i dunno
if they are equal in points,it'll be decided by head-to-head results: Dalian 2-1 Liaoning Liaoning 0-0 Dalian so Liaoning relegated
but tehy don't count the goal difference? too bad for Zhao Junzhe, hope a CSl team will sign him for next season
Wuhan withdrawn from the league after an altercation with the FA on an 8-match ban for Li Weifeng; all their matches (both those played and thosetill scheduled) are awarded 0-3 against them.
What the heck did Li Weifeng do? is it worth banning the league for? this is so stupid, and it could only happen in CSL.

most likely Guo'an will be nack to the urban and nolonger play home matches at the star city - Fengtai. rumors says we'll use National Olympic Sports center, the stadium has 40,000 seats, near to Sihuan Road and not far from the birds' nest
that is a good news for the up coming attendance, with ACL and CSL the stadium could have over 20 000 average if the team have good result (that my hope)

Shenhua have only themselves to blame, missed penalty, defence all over the place to let Zhejiang equalize, Shenhua had enough chances against greentown to win ten games, totally awful day for Shenhua fans...they must now move over as number 3 team in China historically behind Dalian and Shandong I've never seen a team throw away a league title like this before. 4-0 up against Liaoning then somehow drew 4-4 just a few weeks ago, 1-1 against Beijing - game they should have won, 0-0 against the worst Dalian side ever, the 1-1 draw with Liaoning at Hongkou earlier in the season when they let them equalize with 5 minutes to go... I don't think Shenhua have ever beaten Zhejiang since they got promoted to the CSL. Oh well, derbies against them again next year and a trip to Nanjing to look forward to next year.
i was right on my prediction !!! SHandong Campeones , So next year ACL Shandong, SHanghai, Beijing and Tianijin, 4 great team, Shaanxi will be disapointed to lose the race to ACL like this, they were great all season and on the last few rounds they crashdown
CSL 2008 Awards Best player: Emil Martinez (Shanghai Shenhua) Best manager: Ljubisa Tumbakovic (Shandong Luneng) Best young player: Huang Bowen (Beijing Guoan) Best scorer: Eber Luis (Tianjin Teda) Best referee: Sun Baojie Fair play award: Zhejiang Lvcheng
I don't know why even bother with this. I have no clue how much of it was real football and how much of it is a result of black whistle and match fixing. Take these awards with a grain of salt, that's all I am saying.
Fair point to take anything in Chinese football with a pinch of salt but where was the match-fixing? When the richest team in the league, owned by one of the richest men in China, loses out the way they did, I think its shows that, at the very least, this is not a problem for SHanghai.
for the rich and good teams, you throw games away like Juventus ha ha ha. for the poor and crappy teams, you bribe the good teams to win the last few games and stay away from relegation. If you have enough money of course. better yet, the gamblers and mobs will pay off the players so that the odds will be secretly tilted. It's CSL................. I guess it gets harder to fix matches in ACL, so it might be real football.
Looks like all awards that can go to foreigners went to foreigners. Best young player of course has to go to a Chinese player as clubs are unlikely import a young player with no track record. So Chinese players are unable to show their stuff even in their own league. Just shows how deep Chinese soccer standard has descended to. Can anyone tell me who's the best Chinese player in the CSL and what position he plays.
