Of course, the flip side of economic development is the damage to the environment, especially now that China is the "world's factory". But that is the price to pay for pulling millions of Chinese out of utter poverty.

Definitely thank Deng Xiaoping. He was the leader that experimented with market economy, started SEZ's (Special Economic Zones) like Shenzhen. Look at Shenzhen now, only a 27 year old city but now filled with world-class skyscrapers, has a great subway system, created jobs for millions of people from the countryside, and has one of the two stock exchanges in China.

Yeah me too. But he'll play only if MU gets at least a two goal lead late in the game.

I assume he got to ride with the team on the coach. Maybe he'll get to train with them next week.

yes Sun needs to work on his speed. His speed is horrible. Fortunately there was no rosiky or henry running on Sun's side or else he would be in trouble. But anyway he won a crucial free kick for psv and which leads to the goal.

I thought Sun's speed was one of his strengths.

Kind of OT, but among the players in our NT or even in the CSL, who is considered world-class fast a la Rommedahl, Giggs (in his prime), or C.Ronaldo? I can't think of anyone particularly fast.

Dong Fangzhuo perhaps, but I haven't seen him enough to make a judgement.

I think in the past, Hao Haidong was pretty fast, but not world-class fast. People perceive China to be fast but actually I think it's a false perception.

Then what's so good about Sun Xiang aside from his volleys? His dribbling and passing are mediocre.

I don't think Dong is Rommedahl-fast. From what I've seen, I think he's maybe a bit faster than Rooney.
