Good pass by Hasegawa and good shot by Kobayashi. We need this kind of actions to lighten the pressure on our defense and to get motivation.

 

I keep not liking how Hirao deals with high-balls: see this last CK from Germany.

 

FK by Yokoyama from the long distance, but nothing really dangerous.

 

Schult gifting another one to us!

But our players were very good to put pressure on her, especially Yokoyama at the beginning of the whole action! Ahead again, by 2-1 at 68'.

 

So we're 12 vs 10. And Schult just tried to help us once again, by spilling a Nakajima's shot.

Meanwhile Shimizu out and Matsubara in: good choice, we need a tough player to hold up.

Edit: spoke too early: 2-2.

 

I was quite right of being doubtful about Hirao's aerial game, I am afraid...

 

However this game ends, I'd say that, at just two months from the start of the WWC, we're still in search for our optimal starting GK.

 

I see Miyagawa is now on the pitch, but I missed the substitution: who she replaced?

Meanwhile Germany pushing with multiple CKs.

Then double substitution for us: Nakajima and Miura out, Naomoto (in her own Germany) and Ueki in: we're at 83'.

 

UEki almost scores an header from CK!!! Saved on the line by a DF!

 

Thanks: for some reason I had thought it was Matsubara in, instead of Miyagawa.

Meanwhile Hirao saves very well on Maroszan at 91', but her punching on the subsequent CK is questionable: good and bad of our GK.

 

Another good save by Hirao at 93', then the game stops before japan can try a counter-attack at 94'.
