He's 28 and wants to try living/working in a different country. Leave him alone lol, he's not leading our national team to the next World Cup haha.

Koki Anzai is negotiating with Portimonense : https://www.nikkansports.com/soccer/news/201907020000829.html FC Barcelona make a bid for Hiroki Abe, probably to play in the club's jail... uh, I mean, B-team : https://www.asahi.com/articles/ASM726GW8M72UTQP030.html
I hope not for Abe. Very much prefer a lower ranked team like Alaves or Eibar or other similar teams in the top 5 leagues for him. Wouldn't want him to play in the Segunda Division.
On this I strongly disagree. Of course J.League is stronger than Jupiler League. They are not even comparable imo. And yes, I've watched my fair share of matches from there as I watch and analyze football for a living and I fail to see a single factor that makes Jupiler League better. If you take away Ajax, PSV, Porto and Benfica J.League's level is more on par with Eredivisie and NOS Liga. And for a player like Amano - who's started most matches for one of the best teams in J1 this season to end up in Belgian 2nd division is ludicrous but as Akitod says he's probably not there for footballing reasons. He wants to experience living abroad, and if it's one thing Japanese people need to do more it's exactly that and Lokeren was probably the team that put in the first (and only?) bid. If no other teams picked up the scent that he was available (and cheap) it shows how bad the scouting among European teams are (outside of Europe/Africa). He would for example be a big boost for pretty much every single team in Scandinavia.
Well, I guess we can at least agree that from the Jupiler League many more players go on to have big careers compared to the japanese players... ? And yes, of course the european status helps, not denying that. Btw in other news, as someone already posted Koki Anzai is strongly linked to Portimonense. Good move if it happens...

https://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20190706-07050739-nksports-socc Abe seems close to Barca B. Hope for god's sake he's loaned to some 2nd div. team, but doubt it. Reportedly, transfer fee is 2mln with a wage of 250k.
Highly doubt that. On the other hand he could have earnes 250K a year in Japan to? If not now , later. Just dont hope he rot in Spains gutter leagues.
According to this article 3 clubs made offers for Keito Nakamura: 2 from Netherlands: Groningen, and Twente. 1 from Belgium: Zulte Waregem. https://hochi.news/amp/articles/20190705-OHT1T50259.html
If that is the case then I prefer Gronigen. Doan is there as well, he will have someone to help him get used to Netherlands.
Likely per year, reportedly Barca's offer to Kubo was 250k per year too. He won't be loaned, but lets see what happens. I don't think its ever worked well having players go from J.League to big clubs.
