Anybody happen to know what's up with Iwabuchi? Haven't seen here since the international break. Been at the DFB Pokal loss against Wolfsburg last week and she wasn't even on bench (and Bayern is currently missing a lot of regular players). Will go to the CL match tomorrow against PSG.
Thanks. I used to recognize Azami (and I should have thought that it makes sense that she was chosen as the most representative player of her team), but for some reason in that photo I couldn't tell it was her. No Division 1 for her this time (she obviously prefers to play!), but no retirement either: Eriko Arakawa is eternal!
Man you guys, i miss you all and discussing and speculating about the Nadeshiko... This media officer and journalist work is stressing me out over here... You come face to face with a lot of frustrating sometimes misogynist facets of the federation
Cheer up, keep up this good work and don't care about some of those pitiful idiots. When your women will find themselves only one match from World Cup qualification, the green look of envy on the faces of some of those federation tools will be the sweetest thing to behold
Miyazawa wears red shoes while the goal scorer is wearing white ones. When the pass is played, you can see Miyazawa in the center circle.
Dernhelm, we are missing you big time also! When you're too much frustrated by your Fed (really, is there a federation out there that's more misogynist than Italian one? ), pass some time with us: it will take away a little of your stress and not too much of your time!
Saw that as well, at least she seems fine! Well, I hope to sometime be able to report something on topic. Right now I only seem to bring bad luck to the Bayern women... ^^;;
I see from an announcement on the KFA site (http://www.kfa.or.kr/eng/news/news_view.asp?BoardNo=567) that INAC has not renewed Cho So-hyun's 1-year loan contract and she has returned to Korea (recall she is the KNT captain). Hong Hye-ji has gone to INAC instead, where she joins Choi Ye-seul. Maybe some INAC fans could give some background on the moves. I think Cho had a fairly successful year at Kobe.
Aww, you guys are so sweet! I can always rely on you all and this place for some good vibes But anyway i try my best to catch up on the news. I'm stoked to see Sugita now captain (altho i think she already was before? haha) of Iga. And Sawa-sama and her baby, etc. It's just really bittersweet that the "golden generation's" time is really waning now, no? Somewhat of a similar situation here too but our "golden generation" are just college kids! Anyway, another shameless plug in case anyone is interested in my work. All my writings/reports and some photos are here. Hope to join Japan next year in Jordan! Btw did i mention that i am seriously considering (i have my media pass already and stuff haha) traveling with the team to Tajikistan. I also met with/chatted with/assisted (she asked me to film footage of the Philippine WNT plus interview the head coach while she asked the questions) Bai Lili, former China WNT and now head of AFC/Asia Women's Development. Good friend of Sun Wen and Sama-sama. I should probably show a quick photo here:
I read something today that remembered me to this comment. In the back cover of one spanish sports newspaper I read that one legendary Italian player, Patrizia Panico is coaching the male U-16 NT. Do you know her or did you hear something about this? After the success of Chan Yuen-Ting being in male AFC Champions League this is very good to see: http://www.marca.com/futbol/futbol-femenino/2017/03/23/58d3834346163fc95e8b4649.html Sorry is in spanish, hope you understand it
I know about that, and it's very good, although it was not really an "appointment": she already was second-in-charge to a male coach in U-16 and when this coach had a temporary committment with another youth-team, she was given the reins of U-16 for a short period of time (instead of calling a different male coach for just a brief stint). It's anyway a very good thing for Italian women's football movement, and I had already read news about that on main Italian newspapers (including an interview with Panico on "La Repubblica": oh, here it is. The on-line version is way shorter than the paper one, but it can anyway give a rough idea to Italian readers).
Lyon won in Wolfsburg 2-0 in 1st leg qf CL. Kumagai had a very good game. Watch for her further partnership with Marozsan. Since last few games now they both link up beautifully and French coach maybe keen on to moving her up the field in the near future.
on top of my head, Kawasumi (Seattle Reign) USA Utsugi (Seattle Reign) USA Kinga (Canberra Utd) Australia --> (Hangzhou)? China Nagasato (1. FFC Frankfurt) Germany Ando (SGS Essen) Germany Iwabuchi (Bayern Munchen) Germany Kumagai (Olympique Lyonnais) France Takara (LSK Kvinner) Norway dunno if there are others...

I believe this is INAC's live streaming channel. We should be able to watch the Sunday match (26/Mar/17, INAC vs Nojima) on Youtube:
