    Really surprised at how poor they are at ACL. Anyway, 3-0 for Kashiwa at half-time against Jeonbuk btw. Cristiano is a beast.

    Wow. 3-0 against a team who dominated Reysol clearly in the first match.

    Yeah, for a team that self-proclaims(ed) themselves as the Kings of Asia its pretty laughable. With a bit more luck and focus they could have won several of the matches though, but there is something that just doesnt look right when Urawa are going forward...

    Damn, Kashiwa just conceded 2 goals, does not look good. Poor substitution choices by Kashiwa.

    guanzhou vs gamba game, the field is very very poor conditions….
    how come they allow to a official game really its a risky field condition. its hard to move the ball in the many part of the field. I am not talking about rain etc.

    back to the game;

    gamba leading 0-1… patrick and usami's hot combinations is very smooth as always.
    when they start to play first time at the pas seasons, i mentioned about their hot combinations at the field,.and i predicted success for gamba osaka with this combinations potential game winning smooth combinations at the froth line.

    since then, it worked brilliantly.

    edit!

    !!!!!
    gamba score two more in a minute!!!

    patrick assist. and patrick score his second!
    another hot line by usami patrick combination ;)

    0-3 gamba lead first half minute 44.

    Gamba demolishing the "other" Guangzhou team. This is starting to look pretty good after all for the Japanese teams. If 3 team can advance that would be brilliant, and even 2 acceptable.

    Kashima's match against Seoul would be heard, they are in good form. Anyway, Gamba and Guangzhou have been getting into scuffles.

    Then, they would be out within the first round with only Kashiwa getting into the Semis and losing by a huge margin.

    last two goal were critical. <>goal difference.<>for gamba vs buriram second place match up.

    current positions at the table;

    1-seongnam 10 points..goalforward; 6..goalagainst; 3
    2-gamba osaka 7 points..goalforwards; 8…goal against; 6
    3-buriram 7 points..goalforward:7 goal against;7
    4-guangzhou 4 points..gf3..ga8

    next game is the final game of the group phase….

    gamba osaka vs seongnam… seongnam probably will gonna defend single point . gamba must win the game.
    a draw could damage gamba's second spot chance
    if if buriram win his game vs guangzhou.

    its gonna be huge final week.
    gamba osaka looks very solid and lively in this current period.
    usami patrick abe and endo line works beauty… if things goes as tonight way, i guess gamba will gonna gets good result in the final week.

    Head-to-head record is more important than goal-difference, so Gamba will finish behind Buriram anyway if the 2 teams end up on even points UNLESS there is a 3rd team that will also end up on the same points as them. Then we will have a whole different scenario:

    For example: Gamba win against Seongnam, Buriram wins against GRF, meaning we will ahve 3 teams on 10 points.

    Seongnam will have a better head-to-head record vs Buriram
    Buriram will have a better head-to-head record vs Gamba
    Gamba will have a better head-to-head record vs Seongnam ONLY IF they win by 3 goals or more ( if they win only 1-0 or 3-1 then Seongnam will have a better record cause they won 2-0 at home and away-goals count).

    So goal-difference will in this case, only count if Gamba win by 3 goals or more vs Seongnam AND if Buriram also win their game.

    Or of course, if Seongnam and GRF win their games, we will have 3 teams on 7 points instead, and then it will be a different scenario again.

    Gamba tied with Buriram then beat them so they are above.

    Gamba has drawn and won against Buriram.
    Also, Gamba will be ahead of Seongnam if they win 2-0.

    To make it clear:
    • For Gamba to come first, either-
      • Gamba wins by a margin of 3 goals against Seongnam
      • Gamba wins 2-0
    • For Gamba to come second, either-
      • Gamba wins by 2 or less goals (except 2-0)
      • Gamba draws and Buriram fails to beat Guangzhou
      • Gamba loses and Buriram loses.

    Ah of course, somehow I was of the impression that Gamba lost and drew against Buriram.

    Keita Suzuki bossing the midfield against Brisbane. Nice assist on Korokis goal, and been really good otherwise too. The Aussie commentators are praising his every move.

    It happens!=)

    At 2-2, with W Sydney leading, both teams needed to score, so it was pretty much 50/50 at the end there. Its scenarios like this that makes football interesting sometimes!

    Yup. Saw lot of blame for Ogasawara for losing possession but I think he was just focused on keeping possession and making a run to getting back to their end so that they could get the goal they needed as well. Molina's goal at the end there was a hopeful desperation shot, it just happened to be well placed.

    I can say that Kashima played well, but with one owngoal and one received goal in extratime ... they look as amateur, or they don't wanna qualify for next round, or in extra they let Seoul to qualify against WSW ...

    Urawa obtained a victory for statistics.... tomorrow wait to see Gamba (Kashima are already qualified)

    Well Ogasawara just stood there waiting for the ball while Molina attacked it. Not gonna strike him while he's down, he's a legend anyways, but details like this make you lose a game. Sogahata didn't help neither, wasn't exactly a thunderous shot ...

    I think Kashima should focus on the league now since they might not be able to get Acl next season if they continue their current form.

    Thats a bit harsh use of words dont u think? One of the main reasons why Seoul scored in injury-time WAS because Kashima wanted to qualify. a 2-2 result was worth absolutely nothing to them (and as it was, neither was it for Seoul since WSW was winning), and they would be fools if they didnt do what they did. That it was Seoul who scored and not Kashima was merely coincidental, despite Ogasawara´s mistake.
