I know it's a little early, but I had to post this.

China, who will play Japan in the EAFF Tournament in July, have just been trashed 5-1 at home by Thailand.

Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this match was fixed, especially with Chinese soccer's reputation for corruption.

and if that could work out somehow
    Ogihara Shibasaki

If that won't happen I won't bother myself with nothing more than watching highlights of the games...

I'd like also Yamaguchi and Aoyama.

I think he still gained the right of having a chance.

Well, I don't know how about Watanabe but Toyoda is consistent, didn't start mass production of goals this year. He, Osako and Kudo should be the only reasonable choice for those games but knowing uncle Hara... Watanabe will be picked.
It's the best what J League possess right now. Plus all three of them can play the 'shadow' postion behind the sole FW and because of the cocky attitude won't bulk if there will be a harsh tackle from Chinese/Korean defenders but will respond with the same unlike many other Japanese players which is also important ;) I only don't know how Kakitani will get along with Haraguchi as it seems that he really dislikes Reds :p

Give me the schedule for the matches. When will Zac be expected to announced the squad?

Also, Since it's assume Zac won't call up his Europe-based players and the fact that Japan is expecting new bloods, esp the FWs, CMs and CBs position, who do you expect to be called up? Who would you want to call up?

I have no idea about the J-League players, except those I see on YT. I hope to see some good games for Japan.

I expect him to call up

    FW
    Toyoda
    Kakitani
    Kudo

    AMF
    - H. Yamada
    - Haraguchi
    - Usami
    - Kashiwagi
    - Higashi
    - Yuki Otsu

    MF
    Yuki Abe (lol)
    Ogihara
    Shibasaki
    Takuya Aoki
    Hideto Takahashi

    DF
    - Daisuke Suzuki
    - Kurihara
    - Konno
    - Makino
    - Daigo Nishi
    - Komano

    GK
    - Gonda
    - Nishikawa
    - Kitano

Let's see how many I guessed

P.S. I probably counted one MF too many and one DF missing.. so perhaps Shibasaki out (too young for Zac...) and Inoha in :ROFLMAO:

I will also add that in defense Kikuchi and Moriwaki laugh at the likes of Inoha :ninja:

Kashiwagi, for me, doesn't have a chance: Zac already tried and put him out.

Why not just try Sato, the worst that can happen is that he's just as bad as Maeda.

Why 'lol' ? It wouldn't hurt to field some experienced players in the squad, the competition itself is not very important, but all the opponents there are fierce rivals and would give us no quarters. Another embarrassment would be very ill-timed for the morale and confidence of the team, I personally wish to see as many J. Leaguers as possible in the WC, this cup is a good occasion to prove their worth.

lol because I kind of have the feeling he will go for that experience factor and if Endo wont be the go to guy. Abe will and since everybody on this board is kind of hating on those experience atm since it is exactly those players who we bash game in and out:

    Endo
    Kawashima
    Konno
    Kengo Nakamura...

Also I agree that experience is important, but I think that skill and the way you play is even more... so pick based on that

But like I said, I dont expect Zac to bring many new faces in comparison to todays team to the WC (bar injuries naturally) perhaps 1 or 2 new guys

who was the one that Endo Yasuhito recommend to replace him? Gaku Shibasaki right? or was it someone else?

in any case, like I said before, but it's a must that new FW are to be found since it seem our 2 (Maeda and Havenaar are useless), same for Okazaki, but as AMF that moonlights as SS, he effective and seems lively, click wells with Honda and Kagawa.

needs to replace Endo here, but I think he'll be in Brazil 2014, but hopefully as a leader for the squad, needs new CMs fast. Hasebe will of course stay on as well, Hosogai just isn't getting enough games as DMF, hopefully he'll get that chance and improve with Hertha Berlin.

Center Backs are also a must. Yoshida to stay, while Konno is gone. needs Kurihara and Inoha to step up or find someone better.

    I can only hope

I kind of think 3 of Kashima players should be called up. Osako, Shibasaki and Nishi
