Sapporo are my J2 team for next year. I'd bloody LOVE a weekend away in Hokkaido in 2012.

25,110 at Ajinomoto. Half of them must be from Chiba, but still a very remarkable attendance.

You would be wrong......a good 4/5ths of the crowd was Verdy supporters.....the whole bottom from the edge of the rich people seats to the chiba end was filled with Verdy fans and the scoreboard upper deck was filled. Chiba had their section half filled.

Helps when you sell all the tickets for 1000 yen and give away free t-shirts:D

Congrats to Ventforet and my friends Matsu and Paulinho!

(Ah yeah, Kato... Sanga did not need Paulinho, we would have made it to the ACL thanks to your genius...)

What appears to be Mike Havenaar's agency has posted videos of him on youtube. Of his goals and highlights (plus contacts to his agents).

Some are damn impressive. He should go to VVV if they're on the drop.

The same agent seems to be in charge of Tochigi's FW Lobo, GK Shibasaki,DF Akai, MF Sugimoto and DM Paulinho as well.

If they're not dumb, they should make a decent kill with Mike and Lobo.

Some J.League clubs have SERIOUS management problems.
The inexperience and incompetence is appalling.
I swear than most of us, even the teenagers who write here know soccer and would manage a club better than some of the Japanese "F'ronto."

Things such as not being capable to snatch a sponsor when you have 15,000 in the stadium... Really, not the players or the supporters, but the management really deserves to disappear and make room for more competent people.

Same for Sanga, Vissel, JEF, Consadole and a few more...

Ventforet 0–4 to Thespa? WTF?

I know you've been promoted and deserve a relaxation but that's a bit too much, ne?

OMFG Takahashi Yutaka launches a nuclear missile into Verdy's net during the injury time, it was so epic. What a free kick. Yay Fukuoka !

    Are you sure?

Where else have you seen a soccer sponsor that comes into a club and changes the uniform colors...?

Rakuten has money (as Kyocera, btw) but lack a sensitivity to soccer hat results in overall incompetence.

You can't improvise soccer culture, simply can't...

Against Modern Football :D When clubs cease to be in the hands of the people who love and follow the club, the ones in suits who have no idea of the game make us all suffer. My local team is run by one of the wealthiest franchises in North America, yet none of our professional teams (Maple Leafs, Raptors, TFC) have made the playoffs in the past few seasons.

TFC plays like a minnow, and cannot even beat the Columbus Crew ever...

Mito continues do dwell on the bottom, playing like minnows, ala TFC.
