I was actually hoping you'd contribute, but I'm disappointed that your contribution is merely a statement that you won't contribute. If you're a professional geek, you are duty- and honor-bound to contribute.
Will you people please start riffing on something like American History so I get let my geek flag fly as well? You hard science guys make us liberal arts types feel stupid and inadequate.
Yes. Here. A team in Colombia. EDIT: Answer: No, I am just stupid and can't spell the correct Colombia/Columbia.
you really should go on a roadtrip with GrillMaster through Civil War areas. You'd have tons of stuff to refute after passing each brown history sign as he makes up what happened at each battle off the top of his head Good times
So he plays right up US Highway 29/near I-95?!? edit: I do that all the time, you spell certain things in your brain and your fingers ignore it.
"You hard science guys"? Nah, not me. I'm not smart enough. I have great admiration for physicists. My background is in English lit, economics, computer science, and management. I'm either broadly educated - a Renaissance man - or am incapable of focusing on the task at hand.
So what if you put the team, Schrodinger's Cat, and Thomas Jefferson in a box. Would they all be both libertarian and non-libertarian at the same time? And how long would it take them to write the Constitution if they had an infinite number of monkeys? Also, how many of those monkeys would develop hamstring injuries?
Yes, no lumping Matt in with the hard science people. He's clearly not worthy of joining such (well, my) company.
I really don't believe that. All the gobs and gobs of physicists I've known, myself included, have things that they're "not so bright" about, things that other people handle or work on or are able to conceptualize or analyze with ease. It ain't how smart you are -- it's what you like, and how you think (the learned component of which can be traced back again to what you like, since doing what one likes while young gives one the opportunity to develop the ways in which one thinks).
Oh, I know. I have many friends who are brilliant scientists and researchers who couldn't function in the real world without picture books to guide them. They just think in a very different way than I do. I can only approximate their thought processes very crudely. Hence my 'not smart enough' comment.
So, with these recent departures, what's the bottom line on available slots? - Do we still have an International Slot available? - What about a Sr Roster spot?
