Yes, it absolutely means it comes from a position of ignorance. Ignorance is a lack of knowledge of the outside world. By saying something (that your health care will change because of universality under ObamaCare) despite it not occurring ANYWHERE else (those studies), you are showing your ignorance to the system. By the very definition of the word (slams fist on table) you are not aware of the outside world as it pertains to health care. Your knowledge is limited to personal experience, and as everyone who passed 7th-grade biology class knows, you cannot possibly infer off of a case study. Everything you claim to believe in or know about the health care system cannot possibly be knowledge because you lack any inference about other events in the system.

So yes, because your experience does not fit is precisely why it comes from a position of ignorance.

I'll give you the latter, but not the former.

Bain's business model was patently anti-American.

It's anti-American to exploit tax laws, buy companies on leverage, shed workers to pay debt, then collect massive profits when the debt is paid down and the company is re-sold?

Hmmm, not to me. Seems like Yankee ingenuity, mixed with a dash of frontier independence, as in "I don't give a damn if my neighbor gets wet, I'm making sure that my house has big danged roof."

This is what will kill Obama in November.

Its the ONLY thing that can kill him. His opponent doesn't pole a whole lot better on the topic, either, nor can he take advantage of this (yet - its like the NFL. Vanilla game plans during the summer. We won't see the full playbook until September).

Meh, I don't see how. I can't imagine that a whole lot of people really think the President is the only one capable of creating jobs. We've had republican policies of borrow-and-spend, lower-tax-and-deregulate for 30+ years. Unless Romney has something different than "decrease revenue so the rich invest," he has no compelling argument that he'd be any better at creating jobs than an orange traffic cone.

For what it's worth, a guy did some work to estimate Obama's percentage of popular vote in November, based upon how the 2nd quarter GDP growth landed. The figure of 1.5% put Obama at 50.6% in popular vote.

    For what it's worth.

We used to think that was because Freddy was so good, now we realize it was because Danny was so bad.

Obama authorized covert support for Syrian rebels, sources say

    http://www.cnn.com/2012/08/01/us/syria-rebels-us-aid/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

Here is good news for all those who want us to be harder on Iran ans assist Israel. Syria is Irans go between to Hezbollah and is responsible for all the assassinations and instability in Lebanon. When Israel launched their failure of a war in 2006 it was against Syrian surrogates. Also, The Baathists in Syria were always pushing for the Golan Heights back.

So, how do the Iran haters and Israel lovers present Obama trying to help rid the region of a military dictatorship allied with Iran as an Obama failure?

The fact that it was leaked.. Obama's administration is a freaking sieve for keeping national security things secret.

Without knowing what is happening that isnt leaked, and any reason this needs to be a secret, you cant make that assumption.

Heh. Considering the things that have been leaked up to this point? Including things that peeved off our allies.. It's hard to have secret discussions with someone when you're constantly afraid someone is going to release the information to the press.

Coincidentally enough, the NY Times just put up an article on the criminal investigation into the leaks coming out of the administration, including a line that indicates that the Obama administration has had more security leaks than all other administrations combined.
