No idea how good he is. But picking him up for a 2016 second round pick is a nice deal for NYCFC.

If you have no idea how good he is, how do you know it's a good deal?

Because they're only losing the second round pick of the 2016 SuperDraft. Most of the players in the second round of that draft are usually terrible. NYCFC probably wouldn't have even used that draft pick anyway.

I would rate him above average for a 2nd rounder. I'm kinda shocked that Impact haven't been using him. Considering their defense is horrible.

Very smart trade. Montreal fans don't seem happy about this. Think he was worth a first rounder at least. Good way to start building the squad

And? I'm sure he's a better player now than when he was first drafted. Anyway you look at it, NYCFC are getting an MLS experienced player for the price of a second rounder who will have no professional experience, and who 20 odd MLS sides passed on earlier in the draft.

So it looks like a good deal to me even if he's only for the bench. It's not like they're losing their first pick. Although even then I don't think I would be that upset due to the SuperDraft seemingly getting worse and worse on a yearly basis.

Jeb Brovsky will go on loan to Strømsgodset IF until mid-November. They won the Norweigan league last season and could be playing in the Champion's League if they win their summer preliminary games. Manchester City has used this team in the past to send loanees too.

Good to see that he will be training and hopefully competing for playing time. It's kind of odd to have a loan end in November, perhaps he will be sent to Melbourne at that point?
