That new Houston kit is kinda snazzy. Looks like Adidas is going with some embossed-look kits that are pretty sharp. They also got a new jersey sponsor.
It looks like an 80s jersey. It looks like some jerseys as I wore as a kid. Do not like the color at all. Not a big fan of collars but I can tolerate them unless they are white then they look cheap.
I all I got from that thread is that people don't like the tech fit version of the Seattle jersey... even though no one will force them to buy that version, and half the players probably won't opt for it either. Its not like the tech fit authentic jerseys were designed for the fat guys in the stands anyway. They do have real tangible benefits for the athletes on the field however. Wolff and Owen could have benefited from Tech fit shorts holding their hammies together. I sure wouldn't choose to take the field without mine.
Was talking to merlin during the reveal of the Portland Kits...Understand the significance about the rose city, cool coorelation, but over alll can't really stand them...compared them to the love child of arsenal and barca's kits
Never knew Portland was known as Rose City. Their second jersey is.....RED? Interesting. I thought their colors were green and yellow. I could see maybe a third kit being red. Strange decision.
I like it cause it continues to go against the color home away white combo. I also like the split jersey which I think a lot of people here wanted as it could be labeled a representation of the state line, instead we get the single stitch going through the logo on the home....
Those jerseys are sharp. Even though I dont like Houston's jersey, it looks like we might see some more creative jerseys this season and more variety as well.
Same A split? That could have been cool for us. More creative too. I'm the boat of thinking many of the MLS kits are kind of boring and similar.
Fingers crossed. Thats why I was critical of Adidas a while back. While they're not wholly responsible for the designs, could always wish for a little more variety. Especially the scarves. Oh god the scarves. Though, I still really appreciate Adidas sticking with MLS. I think these new designs coming out are a step in the right direction of more teams finding an identity. The red really caught me offguard, but I remember that it is the Rose City, so it made since. Though I admit, the first thing I thought was Liverpool. But its kinda hard to not think of various different teams when seeing a red uniform. Overall, I think its bold and I kinda like it.
I like 'em. And I applaud each and every team that is rejecting the "white road jersey" trope when white isn't one of their colors.
I actually don't .... 1980s Arsenal roads / 1980s Hibernian homes ... I don't like the split halves when they are shades of the same color ... just seems like to much in one shirt. You really never can tell till you seen them live or being played in on TV .....
I don't like the light red / guava / pink / maroon whatever color combo you want to call it shirts. I like the green ones, though. I honestly don't think Houston's are going to look too bad from far away.

Birmingham City are having a look at Buddle http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/b/birmingham_city/9294775.stm
DC trades Perkins to Portland for Cronin. It will be interesting to see who Portland ends up keeping on their roster. I think they have traded damn near every player they have acquired so far....
I guess this as good a place as any to post this....best quotes from 2011, including a funny one from Puma. Steve Nicol is always good for a quality quote or two. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/mlssoccercom-presents-best-quotes-2010
Looks like Cooper is going to be on the Timbers. "I still have difficulty understanding in this league, as I expressed to the commissioner in Toronto last July, I can't understand when you have young American players who can play anywhere in the world and they're somewhat punished because they're Americans,"... "As someone who's been in the league and the country as a coach, and the system for 38 years, I think that this league at times would rather reward a proven failure than unlimited potential." -Cooper Sr. after Lil Cooper left the MLS. hahaha, Kenny went from unlimited potential to a proven failure in a very short time
