Chris Kivlehan @kivlehan 7 minHace 7 minutos Hearing that the #NPSLFoundersCup has a replacement for Cal United. @NapaValley1839 is understood to be the club that will step up giving the Cup two NorCal teams and bringing them back to 5 in the West and 11 overall teams.
They originally announced an Aug. 10 kickoff for the East, which is three weeks and two days away. So they should probably get some more details out, you would think. And soon. The West was supposed to start August 24, just over a month away. But we'll see, I reckon.
Looking at the team web sites looks like the Founders Cup is a go in the East, not in the West. All the clubs in the East except Miami FC list it on their schedules. Not sure what else you want right now. Out West none have FC games on the published schedule.
Ummm, some indication that it's not just vaporware? Have you ever heard of a "league" (competition, whatever) where, just over two weeks before it's to start with - hello - professional players as opposed to college kids, you haven't heard anything about what's actually up with the league? Who the players are? Which amazing stars the Oakland ********ing Roots have signed? That's what I want right now.
