    Not just Quieroz.

Colombia is one of the 2 teams we have not beaten under Gareca. The other being Argentina.

Though we have looked competent against Argentina at least. We have looked pathetic every single time we have faced Colombia otherwise.

I hope this is the time we change that. May the best team win.

Roger and Duvan really looked Dangerous against them in the second half when they were down a man.
It makes me wonder if he is going to start Roger and Muriel or if he is going to give Morelos the nod with one of those guys.

Hopefully Fabra will play, right now he and Arias are our best FB, Queiroz must start to play with them. We won't get anywhere with center backs who play as FB.

Really curious to see Alzate plays in the NT. I didn't see him in Brighton, I understood that he is a 50/50 midfielder who plays sometimes also as a LB or RB. Can be interesting to watch him.

Thought he got called to be cup tied to us and to try at LB. With Fabra called now he def going to the midfield.

He is an interesting prospect and has a ton of stamina to potentially be a box to box for us. I think Agudelo of Genoa is a better prospect but for now both should prob be u23. Our midfield is stacked right now with James and Quintero coming back soon.

To be fair France won the World Cup playing CB's as FB's so its not impossible but it should be a balance. Fabra back to form and Arias are our clear best options at FB, so hopefully they're given a chance and if we want to play more defensive we have Tesillo as a good option.

to add to that - the Pavard/Hernandez combo went into the 2018 WC with no more than 6 games under each of their belts. I don't even think either started the game against us in March 2018.

I will correct my answer. I didn't mean that A CERTAIN NT can't play with CB as FB, and I really hope that you didn't compare France's defensive players to Tesillo/Medina. I mean specific regarding these two. They aren't bad, they defend very well, but the don't offer us nothing offensively. And our best performances under Pekerman where when we had guys like Zuñiga and Armero in top form. The fact that CQ called Fabra just after Mojica's injury if bad. Fabra should've been first choice here. If not Arias, than he must pick Daniel Muñoz who is one of the best players in the league. But a team like Colombia must get offensive help from their FB.

Personally, I havent been impressed with Fabra so far. I know he's had a couple stand out matches but he's still far from the Fabra heading into the WC 2018. Same for Mojica. I think he did his best considering he was suddenly thrust into the spotlight but even at top form he has lots of deficiencies. I'd like to see Munoz but would you really start the WCQ campaign with someone who's never really even worn the NT jersey. That's the mistake made with Medina and I would hate to put Munoz in that type of stress-filled situtation.

I won't argue regarding Fabra's current form, he also returned from a serious injury, but in this position he is our best option. Maybe Borja can compete, although to me Fabra is a better option. We are really short in LB.

What a terrible run of injuries. Makes Quintero all the more important imo going forward, James doesn't seem to be able to be relied on.

Jesus christ is James being careless with his training regime?

I get it when it happens in matches but when he's training? Happening way too often.

Hell while I am wanting to see us be more independent and less reliant on him, he still needs to play.
