Let me clarify. I like winning in la copa mx. I like that our young players get PT. But winning the copa again wont make up for us having a horrible league campaign. We have one point in 3 games.
When he begins to put the best players in...(ahem)sit some vets for yutes, we will start scoring consistently and playing with speed--i.e. winning more. I heard some analysts say that Cardozo said he will sit anyone who is not cutting it, vet or not--so I hope he really walks the walk on that assertion.
that would be great if we would have gotten some decent reinforcements for the backline. Chivas sent Mayorga to Necaxa, there is literally no one to sit for Salcido
Mayorga plays a sideback, so it doesn't matter on that front about Mayorga because we have quite a few sidebacks. I trust some of the backs we have better than Salcido--like Marin, Galindo or De Luna. Could we use more depth there? SUre.
Once again the team gives up a set piece goal. I really hope Cardozo has the stones to bench him to bad their is no one to bench him for.
Otro error de salcido. Dead last and amaury says chivas isn't in crisis. The directivos are so corrupt. I hope they look at this and realize they can't get away with this money hungry crap. So tired of this why support a team who craps on their fans? Takes advantage of them.
Okay, I was encouraged by today's game. Cardozo is sitting players. He sat Pulido for Godinez--which was an insane no-brainer. There was a betterment in play in offense. Now the most important thing is to...what I have been fastidiously calling since over a year now...take out that goddamned, mothereffing Hernandez. Jesus how much I dislike that dude, and how he stunts our attack on the left. Then take out Salcido and all is good. Simple as that.
Pulido was hurt. That's why he didn't start. Take out salcido for who? Galindo? Marin? They both suck. Dont be encouraged. We have 1 point out of 12. We haven't won at home in almost a year.
Oh, did not know about Pulido. So I take the credit back I gave to Cardozo for that. Yes, Marin. I rather have a person who sucks and is fast, than a person who sucks and is slow; but it was my last point in my post, so it is not as urgent as the other two matters. It's not a coincidence that we play faster and score more in Copa than in Liga when we sport a younger and faster team. Speed has always been chivas' secret weapon. Teams cannot gameplan against speed.
But it's all relative, so that's not even an issue. We beat scored--and should have won--against a Morelia team in Copa with a few of their starters. We had like one starter--maybe. We still played better than the A team does vs A teams.
Talking realistically. What's it going to take to get Chivas back up? If we can't buy players. Can't get players on loan etc. What's the light at the end of the tunnel?
I told you guys the answer to this question some time back. If you own a store where you only sell Mexican products--products which are scarse, volatile in quality and buy at a really high price because the vendors know that you can only buy Mex products, so they jack the price--what do you think your success rate would be in that situation to compete against stores in the same street that buy and sell products from many countries at lower prices? Playing with pure nationals was feasible back in the day. Now, you get an out of business sign more often than not when it comes to winning hardware--especially if you get a bad batch of homegrown product.
I am trying to be optimistic. Unfortunately I haven't seen great talent come out of our fuerzas basics. At least recently
I like J.J. Macias & Godiñez There’s another light skinned cat that has swagger but I forgot his name.
