Hey guys - just wanted to let you know that I run a website dedicated to Football Manager/WWSM. If there's ever a question you want asked or any information about the game, don't be afraid to ask on the forums or in an email. Just thought I'd post this here because I know a lot of you are interested in this great soccer game. Currently we're the only North-American FM site on offer and an official affiliate of Sports Interactive. Site is here. if this isn't allowed or needs to be somewhere else, I apologise.
Hey, I was about to buy this from www.gameplay.com until I saw that it is getting released in the US. My question is, it's coming out next week, but I can not find out where to order it anywhere on the web. Amazon doesn't have it, Electronics Boutique, etc. None of them have it listed. Where or what site can I order it from?? Thanks, Eddie
I also want to know where I can find it... Also, I'm curious about the game's rules concerning Freddy Adu. I hear European clubs can just sign him immediately, even at 15. Obviously, his situation is pretty complicated, but did the game just discount all of the international regulations and make him a regular player like any other?
Gamestop.com PY have a look at the forums on my site or the MLS thread on the SI Games forums for issues with the MLS. Some of them will be put right in a patch, the rest for FM/WWSM 2006 because of their complexity.
Where in the forums do SI/Sega say any of the issues will be fixed in the patch? I've seen the known fixes thread, and MLS ain't in it.
Check in the bugs forum on SI - you might have to search a couple of pages back for it though. Thanks to those of you who've registered on my forums, it's appreciated. I hope that you'll enjoy yourself and become a part of the North-American FM/WWSM community. The site is quite small right now, but over the coming weeks and months we'll be building it up to offer an all round virtual managerial experience.
Worse. The minimum playing age in MLS is 16, so Freddy can't even play for a year and a half in the game. Don't get the game for MLS. You'll be awfully disapointed.
Or alternatively help put the MLS right. On FMUSA4You's forums we're looking into all of the problems/issues with the MLS, and contributing so that those mistakes don't happen again. If you want to be a part of it or just want more info about the project, come sign up on the site.
I've been busy putting MLS right on my own game. But have become pathetically depressed since Chivas and Real can't be used or played and simply gave up. Perhaps one of these days I'll join. I created every single USL team, PDL and all, in CM4 and made select players and all sorts of tireless editing crap.
It was really all for nothing. My CM4 database ended up so edited to hell, the game would just crash sporadically. I can't imagine any SI games doing things like that, though. Good luck with the patch. Make sure to correct "Kotaschau" and the US Open Cup history. That stuff has been wrong so long, its practically true that the Rapids won the Cup in 1999 by now.

While this says the game is being released today, I've only been able to find GameStop selling it and they won't get it until next week. The guy on the phone said I should pre-order it to ensure getting a copy because with this type of release they only send as many copies as get pre-ordered.
The thing is, why would Sega announce the game as shipping on the 8th, when apparently the only store to get it (Gametops) won't have it until the 20th? Is it sitting in shipping purgatory until then?
My local Gamestop will have it on the 15th...all Gamestops are getting it at different times. Also, make sure your's receives at least one copy, talk on the SI board seems that most might not carry it.
If you want a copy at Gamestop the best thing to do is go to the local branch and put down a $5 deposit. An employee told me that the deposit will determine how many copies are sent out to each location.
