    Are we sure the keeper didn't graze the ball with a finger?
    Hard to tell from the replay.

    we are sure the referee team didn't think so as the (improper) restart was a GK.

    The referee responsible for this mess was sent home after the Group stage of the final tournament.

    Correct. The restart in this instance under the NCAA soccer rules is a goal kick.

    yay, i love it when the ruling bodies differ

    Same for NFHS. At least it was last year. Just got my new books so I'll double check.
