That was for a different competition, however, so if he wanted to file a switch (and it could be done in time; I have no idea about the mechanics) I believe he could presumably still join the U20s in time for the Finals should they qualify. (That's what I meant by cycle-, rather than cap-, tying.)

It seems hard to believe Arena is personally recruiting him to the senior squad at present, and we don't have a U23 team.
