@108thLegendary , We'll agree to disagree. The whole work ethic thing and looking lazy...We could talk about that about someone else on the team as well but i dont' want to start anything. haha..As i said before, structure is important and when you take out players who have the ability to keep the ball and not give it away so easily, you are playing much more run and gun style which i absolutely hate. It's how you concede more goals imo.

ZERO games this season for club. 2 separate halves for BiH.

he played RB for us after substitutions against Argentina - or so it seemed to me

like I said - Vranjes is our back-up RB

the reason I said Bicakcic at RB if we are in dire need is because that's the spot I could see him have more success and 'dire need' need means in case Vranjes is not ready but again I could see Bicakcic being successful there IMO and he did mess up but some blame should be going on Susic as well he sees him in practice he should know that Bicakcic was a no go for that position

I saw a training clip or two of Bicakcic in USA and I knew that there is no way Bicakcic is even back to his average level from before his injury...also I though why the ******** did I stop playing - I'm better than this guy at my worst :D

And I'm not a hater - especially of our players so can't hate on Bicakcic.

Bico is far too slow to play RB. Its the same thing as having Salihovic at LB without a decent cross and great freekick.

maybe he wasn't penciled in to start at CB - but I've seen him at the RB spot playing that position

nevertheless my assessment of him has been constant = not a starter for BiH at CB spot

there are more ways to play the fullback positions ;)

neither Salihovic nor Bicakcic are too slow for those

Against Liechenstein maybe but any top team would murder them. :)

Bundesliga is an ok competition and they haven't murdered Salihovic when he played as LB also same with the national teams he has faced at the LB spot for BiH.

Todays modern game a fullback is essentially a wingback and responsible for a lot. Being slow makes you a liability in todays game and especially in big tournaments.

    not necessarily

tho lot of teams prefer that - it's not a necessity - it's nothing new btw

for example at this point for us I think we should go for Vranjes at RB instead of Mujdza (even tho I'm a big fan of Mujdza) - Vranjes is a player who will stay back and provide security on defense - in that case more will be expected of Hajrovic on offense but Hajrovic would have less work on defense

Go look at Netherlands-Spain. Wingbacks. Look at majority of the teams that won trophies. Wingbacks. Counter attacks are essential in todays game.

Netherlands is a different animal - we don't have the talent level to do things tactically and strategically that they are capable of - we can't compare and emulate that team

you have to use the players you have on the roster and formulate your strategy and tactics

of course counter attacks are important but we are not a counter attacking team

although we had some counter-attacks in our two friendlies before the WC

most teams are defending with 9 men at least (when other team has the ball 9 guys behind the ball at all times type thing) - even Germany - our strategy can be said to most resemble one of Germany except we don't have as much talent on our team than Germany does

Susic has been trying to make our team faster though - hence I could see Miske being relegated to the bench or he might ask more of him - if he keeps him on for other reasons - like holding the ball and his leadership.

Dzekos day looks better and better against Nigeria. First how open they were when Iran attempted to counter(couldnt link up to save their lives). Now one of their better CBs is not gonna play leaving them without their best LB and CB.

Susic better be smart about this game. Very winnable.

We should win both of the games.

On paper and from what we have seen from Nigeria in their last 5/6 games they are not on our level.

I think that Besic as CB against Nigeria would sound good if the Nigerians weren't so damn big. He has great balance and tackling, but I'm worried he might not be tall and heavy enough if it get's really chaotic in the box. I'm worried about Nigerias counterattacks and I think he would handle them well.
