    Yes, the Hurling finals are held at Gaelic Park on 147th St. in Oak Forest.
    I used to go, but haven't gone in years.

    I went once years ago with my dad. they play gaelic football there too, right?

    60 year old irish guys drinking guiness at 10am. I still have a broken hurlee from a guy from a club from California.

  5. In so many words FIFA wants to turn a sporting event into the Mos Eisley Cantina. Whatever you think of our government institutions no way any elected official in this country agrees to these terms. FIFA is quite OK with passing up the lucre from this country to operate in a country where they can launder money as they please and not fear arrest.

    I mean, it looks well and good that the city is holding the line with FIFA, but it's probably more a case of no one at FIFA sending the donation to the appropriate 5th-floor-connected people.

    As a fan I’m saddened by the news. As a taxpayer I’m overjoyed. FIFA leadership has hardly improved since the corruption revelations, and it doesn’t look to be changing anytime soon.
