Hopefully some changes. Bring in Luis Felipe for Godoy and Flo for Cummings. Start Hoesen as well.

If we benched Wondo, who would we realistically expect to start at forward? Or would we change things up to one forward and play two wingers?

Wondo is amazing but until a coach has the guts to bench him, I don’t think the team can improve as a whole.

Looks like SKC will be through to the CCL semifinals. Unless I’m jinxing them right now (82 min)

A rotation or a different formation of 22 duds isn’t going to produce much.

What if they were 22 Italian duds?

Even worse. Especially since there aren’t any Italian players left.

I'd like to see us play two forwards, Danny and Wondo, Wondo slightly withdrawn.

Of course, I want to see us play a 3-5-2, but I could go for a 4-3-3 with Vako, Danny, and Wondo up top, Espinosa, Judson, and TT in the middle, and the four defenders. Even a 4-4-2 would be OK if we play a 4-4-2 diamond.

If we're going to go with one forward, it should be Danny with Wondo coming on as a sub. Assuming a 4-5-1, I want to see Luis Felipe in for Godoy and TT on for Eriksson.

I do not understand why some of you think that Kashia is a better defender that Cummings. He's mistake prone, of course, they both are. But Cummings makes mistakes mostly on tackles and missing assignments. Where as Kashia gets pulled out of position easily, and he roams too far up field. He got scorched plenty when he did last season, so how does he not learn from his mistakes? I prefer Cummings because he's faster than Kashia (not saying much) and he's more willing to get stuck in (also, not saying much). Do some of you think that we need to keep Kashia on the pitch to keep Vako happy?!

Whatever, we need to improve all over the field.

    Go Quakes!!
    We're crap!!

I think they've played well together in limited minutes. What is driving me crazy is Vako seems 100% incapable of passing to Wondo.

As my long-suffering spouse noted: at least we will be able to watch them lose from the comfort of our own home.

The weather actually won't be that bad, predicted in the 40s at game time.

You have to be open to pass the ball. Part of that problem is that Wondo likes to play on the back shoulder of players which leaves only passes over the top which isn't Vako preference (or I believe the coaches).

That, plus once he starts dribbling his eyes are on the ball so he has no idea who is making runs where.

Wondo has been wide open for balls on the ground many, many times in the first 180 minutes of soccer. Yes, he is looking for a cross or ball over the top in the box a lot. But he has been available for the through ball as the best next option, specifically from Vako, and not received it multiple times as well. On the flip side, he's also missed from 8 yards out.

Anyway, hope we can surprise NYRB and get the ball rolling in the right direction today.
