2004 I was at every game. That Stanley Cup is # 2 sporting in my life, after Argentina '78, being there to see the games in Rosario. Very special moments, amazing how the older i get, the more i remember..

The parlance and tactics of hockey translate better to futbol than any other sport Americans can sort of understand. It helps to use those analogies.

Flaco, do you listen to the podcast Hand of Pod?

You think its happenstance you've never seen Grondona and NYCCosmos in the same room?

    Silly, naive boy ...

You've given me a lot to think about there. I never considered that Cosmo's hatred of Grondona could in fact be self-hatred. Hmmmm.....

Very nice. Greatest memories for me was being at a couple of the u20 games in 01.

Yeah, I listen to Hand of Pod, I comment on Sam's site once and a while.

Good memories = good memories. and that's all that matters.
HoP/they're looking for an English speaking Tigre Matador to talk about the upcoming game with San Decenso.

I'm giving them your info, Mullafuka ... that's all there is to it.

If it works out and you become a famous radio/pod/blog/Stuart Scott-esque personality, I expect a prominent mention in your autobiography...

5-3-2? Against a Sub-23 Brazil side? Lol, you can take the man out of Estudiantes, but you can't take the Estudiantes out of the man.

Expensive and more expensive. Where do you want to stay? In the city or somewhere in Jersey?

The only way in hell I would entertain that formation is if I felt that wingbacks were more capable of supporting the attack than we've seen. Juanpy was good in that role but that's been about it lately. Even Pupi would've have been worthless in that role since he always seemed to like to move inside when attacking. 5-3-2 is playing scared in my opinion.

Gotcha! IIRC the last time they were here to play the USA they stayed out by the Meadowland's though my memory could be off. I know they did some shopping in the Times Square area since we happened to be driving down to Chelsea in a cab. I tried to get the cabbie to stop but his understanding of the English language was awful........his understanding of Spanish was even worse.

Get as many pictures as you can and post them up. Work commitments are the only reason we aren't heading up there for the game. My last boss was a soccer fan and he ended up joining us for the USA game. My current boss knows nothing about sports unless the team is wearing burnt orange. UT fans are something else.

Unfortunately I'm in one of those positions where that isn't an option. A good living I guess is the sacrifice you make sometimes. Odds are the team will come out via the front doors, we are Argentino after all and shy is something we are not. Why deprive the masses of our good looks:D Have fun and don't grow up too fast!

I just can't stomach Argentina playing with five in the back especially against Brazil. Granted Diego's invent-a-formation wasn't much better but Sabella is a much better coach than Diego plus it screams of defeatist and scared.
