Do you think if we stopped bombing them that they will in turn stop attacking the west? Even if the U.S never meddled in the middle east they would still persist in attacking the west. They never needed an excuse and trying to prevent further excuses won't stop them anyway. This approach not only won't work but it will do nothing to mitigate the attacks against the west. Theirs is a deep ideology against the west , always has been and always will be regardless of our past and future involvement in the middle east.
Most of these fundamentalist regimes exist directly because of the West. Our great supposed enemy Iran for instance had a largely secular democratic government before the US overthrew and installed a brutal dictator. The Taliban was promoted/created through US assistance in the early 80's to fight Russia. Al Nusra in Syria receives arms from the US to fight Assad. Saddam Hussein used to be an ally. The biggest terrorist sponsor outside of the US, Saudi Arabia is a close ally today and purchases billions of dollars of weapons from the US and its allies. And then there's Israel. If the US completely withdrew from the ME, the terrorist attacks would stop.
A lot of that is true unfortunately, but it's not true when it comes to the origins some 1450 years ago. It was born to wage war by the very words and actions of it's war mongering founder. It's too late for that. The imams that are recruiting and sending them into Europe are giving them their marching orders; terrorize and keep doing so until we have Sharia law throughout Europe. Are people supposed to sit back and let that happen?
Absolutely. Islamic armies have waged wars and conquered lands from Spain to Pakistan. Apparently, yes. The modern European is so brainwashed they see the destruction of their way of life as "progressive".
