    jersey

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I sent off a letter to the supplier who is filling the orders on the MLSGear site and this was the response I got today:

EEEEESSSH!!!! MAY!! I'm glad Mike passed along what he heard. Think I'll look locally.

I got an email back from mlsgear.com and they said they'll be in at the end of march.
I have a feeling i'll be waiting until april 19 and then picking one up at the game. hopefully. if the bastards have any.

Sounds like a cool jersey. A silver jersey with blue/black lining would be nice. The image in my mind right now is of the current black Liverpool jersey, in Quakes colors.

anybody got a pic of away jersey?

No...we'll leave the jades and junipers to the crossing guards down South.

Totally agree, Albany. I like this version a lot. I also like what Lotto has done for Pumas. What Atlas' Nike kits tell me, though, is that a team does not have to lose a look that is distinctively their own just because they switch outfitters. When you channel-flipped last year and saw our jerseys, you KNEW it was the Quakes just by the design alone. Now, we've lost that. Too bad...though I do still like our new look--I just don't love it.

MLS HQ loves the one color unis, but it would be cool if the Quakes had white (or grey) tops and socks, and blue shorts. A little change from what the rest of the league looks like.

I like the idea of the Seismic Silver alternate jersey idea and I agree that it might easily be confused with a white jersey...unless it has some marking distinctive enough that it would stand apart from the plain white.

Granted, this is pretty far out, but when we were all throwing around ideas about what our new kits might look like, I dreamt up this (which would incorporate the silver.) Thoughts?!?

BLAST!!! Just tested the link and it appears there is some conflict that is preventing it from being viewable on this board. Sorry. I'll try to think of another way to post it.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp For a while now, Geocities would not allow images on their servers to be posted on other sites. :(

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp The only answer is to upload the image onto another server and then post it from there.

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp GO EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

For those of you who are all nostaglic over the old Clash jerseys, looks like you can still buy them (priced to sell at $29) at:

    http://www.pittsburghsoccer.com/clash.htm

From what year is that head-turner?

I'm trying up up-grade my MLS replica jersey holdings this year, and would have been willing to drop $40 on last year's version (shelling out full price for this year's just isn't in the budget), but I can't locate any XL stock.

I quite like the new kit, sure enough it isn't as striking as last seasons kit, it still looks the part.

methinks i'll purchase when its readily available

Actually I wouldn't put much faith in the Draft Kits as Johnny Moore said there were still working out the details with their suppliers. He didn't seem to like the one used at the Draft at all. (Nor did he like several of the other teams kits, "Yep I am talking about you team from Souther California." :)

More details hopefully to come from the Quakes by their Mar. 26th home game. (At least I hope they have their new kits by then).

The "New" kits aren't overtly bad (like the '96 kits), but they are deadly dull.

I hope JaguarCRO is right and there are new kits coming. They had practice jerseys last year that looked better. Whatever they do, they need to stick with the same color blue. That way even if you had a bunch of fans wearing jerseys from different years, you'd still have a sea of blue in the stands.

    GO QUAKES!!

The color for the last three seasons has been a "royal blue."

I'm not putting much hope on new kits. What, are they redesigning the whole thing now? After they've already used them in spring training AND the team taken their photos in them? They gonna put more time and effort (money) into them? Sorry, but I'm just not buying it. Maybe a few little changes, but I really doubt highly that they'll have entirely new kits. And, IF they have new kits entirely, I count on it being nothing more than another Nike cookie cutter.

Here's the pic of Jamil in the new shirt. I think his pic shows the crest best. Was the only change the darker border? Cuz it hardly looks all that different to me.
