agree it's a shame it had to be him -- a lot of players have walked after 2 yellows including a shirt infraction. pure lunacy imo, especially when you see so many career-ending tackles get ignored / get the same punishment.

you are completely missing the point that the "fining" of a player has no effect on either the game, or the political message (as it is after the fact)..... The yellow card works to some extent. Maybe it should be a red to solve the issue

 

...or maybe just a card if the player has any kind of writing on his undershirt/chest and leave it alone if he's just celebrating.

 

I have never understood why players feel the need to remove their shirt to celebrate.

Whenever something good happens in your life, do you immediately feel a need to remove an article of clothing?
