He is the glue that held this team together.

  5. I think he will opt for another function within the club. It would be boring to do the same trick twice:p

  6. And the next one will be a normal "schaal", not one as special as this one with the golden inlaid letters.

  7. Wow, this day is a weird one. Rotterdam started the day with mourning and half raised flags in memory of the bombing by the nazis today 77 years ago and ended it with celebrations/jubelange and mass jumping in our Hofplein fountain after the title today was won with a hattrick of good old Dirk Kuyt. He says goodbye with a bang.
    I'm so happy:)

  8. I donot think it is going to be a very productive day tomorrow for a bloody lot of people. The Coolsingel will be stuffed at noon!

  9. And today Rotterdam eliminated Amsterdam in the semi final for the hockey title:)

    Congrats, Feyenoord!!! Well-deserved.

Kuyt is legend. So happy for him. Nice fitting to an illustrious career. One of my fave Dutch players of all time... always plays his heart out.

First title ever decided by goal line technology. :p

Congrats to the friendly Feyenoorders around here.

I wonder who sent the thank you note to Jeroen Zoet???

  13. I felt sorry for Vilhena. He missed the last game because of an unjust yellow card against Excelsior. It was a special day for him, as it is "Mothers Day". He declined offers from amongst others Italian clubs as he wanted to be in Rotterdam with his serious ill mother. She died last year end of octobre and he was supported by all of us, club, players and fans. So it is unfortunate he misses todays special match on this special day, as his thoughts undoubtedly did wander to his mother.

Congratulations! Well deserved championship! I love what Gio and Kuyt have done! Would love to see Kuyt contribute to the NT somehow with his mentality and leadership.

@Feyenoord
    Heeft iemand de schaal gezien?

Gio's stock is gonna rise skyhigh.
Winning the title in only his 2nd year is quite the accomplishment

Going by the official KNVB rules you now have to forfeit the title, and give it to the runners-up Ajax.

    Those are the rules

I thought Feyenoord wouldn't lose any important player next season but Elia already said he will leave...
