For what it's worth I just saw Nelson eating breakfast at that little joint on the corner of Wacker and Clark so he's not in New Jersey. I didn't make eye contact with him or I would have acknowledged him at least.

You should have smacked him upside the head and told him to take his head out of his a$$.

    Just kidding.

    ...or not.

Better yet, just go up to him and tell him to go back to New Jersey, and take Paunovic with him.

    Hard to believe.

Under his reign, the Fire are a collective 31w 25t 47l.

The Fire have managed 118 points out of a possible 309 points.
(By the way, NYRB managed 71 points this season.
Atlanta have 124 points in their 2 years in the league.)

The Fire are at 1.14 points per game under the tutelage of Rodriguez.
    1 playoff game.
    -16 goal differential.
Single digits in wins 2 out of 3 years.
Overall, the Fire have finished 20th, 3rd and 20th in his three seasons at the helm.

    2016 7-10-17
    2017 16-7-11 (+1 playoff loss)
    2018 8-8-18
    Total: 31-25-46

    Top-5 payroll, bottom 3 results.

if ever there was a sign that the owner doesn't care about winning, that would be it. IF we are in fact in the top five for payroll, any owner who gives even the littlest of a crap would not let this stand. there is no successful businessman in the world that looks at that and says, "okay, whatever."

He will do the same thing he has always done. Say he was close to signing an alleged big name, fail to do so, never tell us who he was, then bring in someone you have to google to figure out who the hell he is. You know the “process”

Or he'll just play half the season with an "incomplete roster" again.

Will the soul mates be at the crapshoot combine together for more staged photos or are they in the middle of a trial separation?

Wake up asshole. Season starts in two months and only have 18 players. Well at least we have enough players to have a full team for games. We have 6 fvcking defender on the roster, 4 if you don't count Edwards and Hasler which are midfielders.

    Pauno's starting 11 (4-2-3-1)

Sanchez, Corrales, Marcelo, Bastian, Edwards, McCarty, Bronico, Katai, Mihailovic, Hasler, Niko

Bench:Cleveland, Herbers, Collier, Campos, Adams, Del Grecco, Lillard

    We are so fvcked......................

Considering we just have enough for a full game roster, I'd go with this. (4-4-2)

Cleveland, Hasler, Marcelo, Del Grecco (time to see if he could play), Edwards, Katai, Dax, Bastian, Mihailovic, Niko, Herbers

    Bumped from the Roster thread:

I didn't say that he was.

He has had 6 months already. That is more than enough time to find a replacement for Rodrigues.

Of course, this also implies that Mansueto knew absolutely nothing about the workings of the Fire prior to taking his ownership stake. That is ridiculous; he would have done his homework and should have been planning for any moves that needed to be make.

Because Nelson Rodriguez is really crappy at his job.
He was crappy at his job in New York.
He was crappy at his job in LA.
    He is crappy now.
    I sense a pattern here.
If Mansueto and Hauptman gave two craps combined about winning, they would have dumped Rodriguez immediately.

No one has suggested to "be without a GM or a team president" at all.
If they wanted someone to take over, someone who would know the league inside and out and someone who would probably work cheap, they could just appoint Sigi Schmid as interim GM (what, too soon?)

Sure he's dead, but he would be better than Nelson Rodriguez.

These are both ridiculous ideas and Nelson Rodriguez would not be able to do either, nor has he indicated an interest in doing either.
