Colorado and Dallas have higher attendances than us! Yes, let’s raise ticket prices, that makes total sense.
Thats because Andy hasnt looked to realize the season is over yet. The ticket guy called again asking what it would take to get me back into season tickets. I told him motorcycle chariot racing, Horse drifting and Cassowary cage matches.
I'm not sure why I am watching, but it's pretty funny. Excuses and defensiveness in two languages. Impressive! I love his answer to the question about keeping up with clubs building $75 million training facilities. "We are working with Bridgeview, but land is scarce in Chicago."
Talking about the supporters groups: "We are going to put fan safety first, and we have an obligation. I'd rather lose some fans for life then lose the life of some fans." Seriously?
I see that. They are both technically human beings. They are both "European." Why neither one of them is coaching a professional team at the moment. Neither speaks English very fluently.
I was trying to pin down my STH rep about that yesterday. He just kept repeating, "We are working with Section 8."
The more Nimrod alienates the supporters the easier it is for me to never come back, not only to the Fire but the league too. Was it @krolpolski or @HerthaBerwyn that laid out how the league has had plenty of time to step in and help fix this mess and they've done absolutely nothing (it's been more than 10 years now). That said, FUCK Rodriguez, Hauptman, Garber, et al. I'll stick to the lower local teams and the Red Stars. I'm not spending a dime on the Fire or some MLS package.
I’ve read about times that the league wouldn’t allow a team to sign a player. The most recent one I remember was TFC trying to sign DP defender. I’ve never heard anything about the league preventing the Fire. The opposite. More news about lowballing and losing out, never stymied.
Anybody watching the DC/Columbus game? This is what it COULD be like here, only if Andi and NRod STOP pissing off their most loyal fans.
Found it The Fire's attempts to acquire players this season "We made a run for an experienced goalkeeper. We didn't close that deal. I'm in the summer window, we had reached an agreement with a club on a transfer for what you could call a number 10, we'd reached personal terms with that player and then that player's father told his son that he didn't want him coming to MLS. And we also made a $17 million offer for an attacking midfielder. That offer was rejected. We were told it was insufficient, that there was another team or another club in the world that was offering better. And also in the summer, we made an offer for a center back who is a starter for his respective national team. We reached terms with that club, we reached general terms with the player, but the structure of the deal was complicated and Major League Soccer did not approve of the structure."
Another training complex. Tick-tock, tick-tock............... https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018...ce-new-training-complex-osceola-heritage-park
The less you say the better, nimrod. Absolutely unbearable. I can’t believe this is the face of the team.
Pleasee leave N-Rod! Just go away. No more BullShit Three years are over ENOUGH! Who the hell do you report too? Does no one hold you accountable for anythingf?
