It wont make much of a difference if foreign players (shit at that) can practically get Mexican citizenship after a year of living in Mexico. They need to make it 2 foreigners and one naturalized player. Or vice versa.
i know naturalized players is a bad thing but i have never seen so much young talent in liga mx ever. we cant depend on youth for international success imo. atleast right now.
The law in Mexico is that people of latin american or iberian origin (pretty much the bulk of our foreigners) can get citizenship after 2 years of residence. Now my understanding was that there was a previously rule that included naturalized players into the foreign cap. The limit used to be a total of 5 players (naturalized and foreigners). Has this rule changed?
