The charts reporting the beIN numbers are mixed with Nielsen numbers, and they're rounded. Exact numbers aren't necessary for me or anything like that it is just that it seems like these are Nielsen numbers instead of a precise figure from beIN... Maybe there's another source for clearer numbers, maybe not. I don't optimistically expect the precise numbers to be any better #'s wise, I just think it would shed more light on how its being watched. For example differentiation from the app and the channel subscriptions etc. I suppose it is something they have, but its kept for more important people to discuss the $ behind it.
There is no mixing of BeIN and Nielsen numbers on that chart. Those are all Nielsen numbers. They do ratings for all the channels. Individual networks almost never release their own numbers. Sometimes you will see networks say "X number of people watched our show or network" or brag on a certain demographic but that should be considered advertising more than sharing information. The exact numbers and breakdowns are considered very valuable company information. Nielsen publicly releases only the general numbers because they charge the networks, media companies, and advertisers for the exact numbers and various types of demographic breakdowns. That is how they make money.
I wonder how they decided the beIN schedule. WAY too many Jacksonville games, at least in the Spring.
So all the numbers we are getting here are Nielsen, which exclude online, apps and Canada. Correct? If so, then that could explain the some of the drop-off in viewership being reported when Canadian opponents are playing.
I think everything reported has been Nielsen numbers which does exclude Canada. They have a different rating service up there. Nielsen does attempt to measure online viewership in some of their reports but I think the numbers we have been seeing are TV only. That table linked earlier is definitely TV viewers.
Conference USA is coming to beIN. Hopefully this doesn't effect NASL coverage. http://awfulannouncing.com/2016/get-ready-to-see-conference-usa-games-on-bein-sports.html
It could effect it positively; The article talks about how beIN is trying to get more popular in the US. If CUSA gets more subscribers & eyes on the screen it could potentially increase numbers across the board. Most of what is on beIN right now caters to very specific niche markets, where CUSA may bring in more of a charter demographic. So as long as the CUSA broadcasts do not usurp the NASL ones then I can only see it as positively affecting the numbers.

http://www.indyeleven.com/news/2016/07/28/bein-sports-en-espanol-to-air-three-games Looks like the Torrado signing may have helped, maybe they will add an extra game or 2 for Bravo.
I have yet to see anything on the CBSN numbers yet, I'm sure they're not decent but it would be interesting. Aside from broadcasting, the league is also getting more and more exposure in the press.
damn. thought I had CBS Sports on Comcast, but must be my low $ package. I had it on Fios Frontier, but had to switch over the past few months. I think this was brought up before channel accessibility is huge for ratings too. This kind of reminds me of the old USL-1 days where not everyone had FSC. Long live FSC btw.
The games are going from English Channel to Spanish channel due to BeIn getting college football games I believe conference USA. http://www.nasl.com/news/2016/09/08/bein-sports-nasl-announce-revised-fall-season-broadcast-schedule
NASL game beats college football debut on beIN SPORTS http://worldsoccertalk.com/2016/09/09/nasl-game-beats-college-football-debut-bein-sports/ Last Saturday’s game between Minnesota United and Rayo OKC on beIN SPORTS en Español drew 21,000 viewers, the most for an NASL match since the league’s debut on beIN SPORTS in April, 2016. The NASL also beat out the Conference USA college football game on the beIN SPORTS’ English-language channel, which attracted only 13,000 viewers.
Wow I would not have guessed that at all, and I'm sure beIN didn't either. I figured ANY college football would get at least 50,000.
Neither would I, but at the same time from my experience it isn't a complete surprise. I find the Hispanics tend to be more aware of BeIN than non-Hispanics, and therefore Hispanics are more likely to casually check out what is on BeIN than non-Hispanics.
