I'm not sure about the bein Sports deal but I think NASL might be paying for the CBS Sports Broadcasts. It was being discussed on World Soccer Talk podcast last weekend.

What, you don't think having games on networks hardly anyone knows about will turn the NASL into a MLS killing juggernaut overnight? Personally I have been waiting for years, watching Oneworldsport every single night waiting for something as revolutionary as the NASL to be broadcast. Now my life is complete. Well it will be after this TV deal helps force MLS to its knees and give us what we are entitled to: pro-rel. Until that day I will have to survive on my pixie dust
Considering it is D2 on a channel that most people don't actually have, I consider that a good number.
Was this match immediately following el classico? If so, major drop off from about 700k. Hopefully the league is better able to hook those viewers going forward!
Indy Eleven, WISH-TV Expand Broadcast Partnership Indy Eleven is proud to call the WISH-TV family of stations its broadcast home for a third straight season in 2016. The two organizations announced Wednesday this year’s television package will be expanded to 20 games across the NASL season, including 15 of the team’s 16 home matches at Carroll Stadium and an additional five away contests. http://www.nasl.com/news/2016/04/06/indy-eleven-wish-tv-expand-broadcast-partnership
Just an FYI to all to help understand these numbers - this is for TV viewership only so doesn't include those who watch from the beIN Sports streaming app. Big drop from week one although Ottawa is not a big draw. Production has been top notch on the beIN Sports TV broadcasts and the first game had a half hour preview show as well.
I would imagine the app has a tiny following, making no real impact on the total number. My question would be is Sling TV included? That I think would a more significant, albeit still tiny, number.
I know some people think that the viewership doesn't matter, but I can't see beIN renewing the contract if the numbers keep dropping like this.
I'm not sure what you guys expected from a match between Indy and Ottawa. First many people do not actually have BeIn, as well they do not have exclusivity rights meaning the local channels are still airing the games also.
7-10K would be fine by me. 4K for Jacksonville/Miami just sounds pitiful. Might get more people to watch infomercials or other pre produced stuff. Of course I'm no TV exec.
In La Liga with Athelitico Madrid playing only drew 6k viewers. The Hull City game in the Skybet Championship got 7K. All of these numbers are for games on beIN that same night. Seems to have been a low ratings night in general for beIN, 4k in comparison to those other soccer matches on that night looks okay to me. http://sportstvratings.com/pti-this...rts-tv-ratings-for-friday-april-15-2016/4819/
