Zielinski was the risky choice against the strength of roma's middle in Nainggolan, strootman and Dzeko. Hysaj is not a mediocre player, Callejon is, but we also have Ounas and Rog that can play on Callejon's position(Rog was very successful as a RW in Dinamo). Why don't they get more playing time? Hysaj cannot cross a ball, cannot defend vs quality, he cannot win a header, he cannot do an impressive pass in fact he cannot do anything impressive.... he has no pace and isnt particularly strong in fact all he has is ball retention and sarriball knowledge. Every other big team in the freaking world has a good right back.... Its like the easiest position to find a good player
Hysaj is. He really is slow and struggles aggainst good players and adds nothing in attack. Great guy for the bench.

True, but cases could be made that roma just had the better players.... in fact if I had to make a team out of the available players between the two teams today I would pick: Allison florenzi-manolas-k2-kolarov nainggolan-jorginho-strootman under-mertens/dzeko-insigne Thats 7 roma players and 3 napoli ones, where dzeko and mertens are both too good to be overlooked.I could have picked Hamsik too but I chose not to because im still not fully convinced with his transition going from an attacking midfielder to a central one. imo sarri is working miracles.
