It is sad. It’s like the Maradona situation. Shirt sales would have boomed, Napoli’s prestige risen, club value gone up and more investor could have bought stakes in Napoli. But this is my least criticsm of ADL. All he needs to do is buy a wingback, change Callejon for Suso and 15 million and sell Tonelli, Inglese, Grassi and Younes and our net spend is at 0. We can then loan a striker with buy option. What bothers me is the BS he said about a new stadium for 30,000. He is just not serious about the club.
I think since I started following Napoli back in 2013, every year I heard about his plans for new stadium.
I am not quite sure about the internal mechanics of the market, and as I do not want to feign complete understanding of it, I'd rather not express my opinion on the matter. But I have to admit that the idea about the stadium for 30,000 people is ludicrous and unkind. I remember him saying that before and I was as dumbfounded then as I am now. I don't see a single argument that is capable of supporting such a decision, but if there is one, then forgive my ignorance. Is there anyone who can elucidate the matter? Is there a single reason why this should be so, the capacity of the stadium, I mean?
Did u watch the WC Final? He's the difference and why France won. Anyway fat hope us signing Mbappe with ADL around. Lol
He does with every subject. Says something unrealistic that cannot happen. Chased Icardi and then said Inter would not sell. With Soriano he was finally exposed. Sampdoria came and said ADL sabotaged it himself.
How many fans did Napoli average last season? Why wouldn't you maximize revenues by having a stadium that could at least hold your average? Where's the logic behind this? lol
Either ADL wants a small stadium to create a lot of demand for tickets and increase prices significantly. Smaller stadium is also cheaper to build. Or he comes up with something that is so ridiculous that it will be blocked so he can say I tried but thy did not let me. He plays that gane all the time.
I should have expressed myself more clearly. What I meant was, why would ADL do it? I have always thought that he loves the club, no matter what he does sts. But this is kind of against the fans who perhaps cannot afford to go to every game, and thus I would look for different solutions to the problem. Perhaps he's just trying to scare the fans and make them consider visiting the stadium more often in greater numbers, in order to convince him that it's worth it to have a big stadium.
Yeah I have no idea. For a guy tho that by all standards seems to watch his money and who fans think is cheap, it makes very little sense for him to not build one that wouldn't hold the average.
GOAL ————Meret / Karnezis —————- I am worried given Meret’s injury. Think we are weaker than last year in goal. DEFENSE XXX / Hysaj —Albiol / Maksimovic — Koulibaly / Chiriches —Ghoulam / Rui We need a strong full-back that can play on both sides. Ghoulam is injured and Mario Rui and Hysaj may struggle under Ancelotti who will require them to be more physical than under Sarri. MIDFIELD Allan / Rog - Hamsik / Diawara - RUIZ / Zielinski Jorginho is gone. The hope is Hamsik adapts to that role and Diawara steps up. Fabian Ruiz will be interesting. My biggest worry is the right with Allan and Rog. But they may both do better under Ancelotti where less passing is required. On paper we are weaker but if Rog, Hamsik and Fabian Ruiz click and Zielinski and Diawara finally live up to the hype we will be fine. ATTACKING MIDFIELD / SUPPORTING STRIKER Mertens / Verdi — Insigne / Ounas / Younes We need to sell Callejon. Insigne and Mertens behind strikers is great. We also have Verdi. Hopefully by December Younes comes back. ATTACK Milik / Inglese Will not cut it. Sell Inglese and buy a big name (Cavani, Benzema). If we get someone like Falcao or Batshuya who are cheaper, I hope we loan Ounas and also get Di Maria. We need a big signing.
