I'm not sure if the writing is ever going to be up to par with season one again. But there are few shows on TV which are as visually rich as "Mr. Robot". For that alone I will probably stick around till the end of its run. Some of the Grand Central segment and how they shot his O.D. were both new examples of how this show has always excelled as a visual delight.
Episode four was weird. This show has always occasionally gone off the rails, but mostly in a good way. Not sure if that is still the case.
However one might otherwise feel about the writing this season, that was a tour de force. A very compelling hour of TV, suspenseful and terrifically directed. And only having one line of spoken dialogue, at the very end of the final scene. I kind of love how Esmail is still using his show to experiment with form.
