That was not a handball, shot from short distance. It's the exact opposite to Suarez's action. I know US fans have a special view on that, though. You can call it though because the arm wasn't all next to the body but it is more a 50/50 call and the player without any intend.
Or just knock them unconscious when they are about to score and get away with it completely. Like Schumacher-Battiston Or agree to a pre-determined outcome to rig the group, like Germany-Austria 82.
Schumacher battiston were really bad. Nobody in Germany would have complained if he would have got a red for it and nobody has or would have praised him for that action. It wasn't a sure goal though.. Germany Austria wasn't rigged. It was just normal. Nobody risking a lose when a tie is enough is just smart and does happen almost every weekend in a league. Nothing more.
Yeah, nothing out of the ordinary about passing in your own half for 80 minutes without even attempting to make moves in the opponent's half (and in Austria's case, while being down a goal)...
If Algeria would have won their last match they would have gone through. But yea it has to be a conspiracy. rofl.
West Germany won 1-0. They did win. 3-2 I don't believe the FRG-AUT match began as an agreement by both to advance but as the match progressed I felt both were content to let the 1-0 stand. They just made it so obvious that it reeked of a conspiracy. FIFA deserves the blame for the schedule layout. They should have learned from four years before and the Brazil-Poland / Argentina-Peru controversy. I don't fault West Germany, Austria or Luis Suarez for any of their actions. It's like an attacker diving and looking for a penalty. Rules/Laws need to be in place to have such incidents be avoidable as much as possible.
My fault.. but there is no difference between former West Germany and current Germany, neither the football association nor the country itself. The whole term "West Germany" is just to make things easier for the audiance back then.
please specify if this thread is limited to in-game action. for the time being, due to your failure to stipulate, i think it is reasonable to include actions which lay outside the aforementioned limitation. consequently, i shall present the following response: dianna ross' miss at USA 94'. even if you now specify that the requirement is indeed in-game action, i would argue that baggio missed because he was exposed to this.
That is a vastly overrated moment. I bleed azzurri, by the time Baggio stepped up we already had plenty of misses and it was all over. That photo and that image just became so iconic because of who Baggio was, and how dominant have been in the tournament up until then.
plus people seem to forget that both Suarez and another Uruguayan attempted to block that shot with their hands just happened to hit Suarez any pro footballer would have attempted the same thing in that split second..
Had that ball hit Fucile's hand none of the circus would've happened but it was Suarez... Lol... 5 years later the haters keep on hating... What are they going to do next year when he wins the Champions League yet again... and the Ballon D'or... or God forbid the 2018 World Cup? I suggest starting therapy early...
1. The same thing they did last year. 2. Won't happen. 3. Won't happen. What did you do the third time he went cannibal?
argentina need to get a third jersey when they play germany. That blue uni does not work vs that white germany jersey.
How can someone watch the Argie's right foot and Jurgen's left shin and think that's a dive is beyond me. Embellishment, sure, but a dive?
it's the "caught fish" movement after he falls... ur right embellishment is the better term fast forward to 2:14 then 2:32, the embellishment gets the other team hot whether right or wrong.
In hockey, sometimes they call a penalty for a foul AND a call a penalty for embellishment. I wish soccer would do that.
