Honestly, the only reason swapping Santon for Peres is close to even is because Santon can play LB & RB. I just can't believe we took their dead weight.

Radja must feel so damn betrayed

He must have thought Roma was the one club that would never do that to him after the sacrifices he made to stay here

I also thought we were a different club but the mentality has certainly changed!

Now we cant be upset with mercenaries that will come and go because we will live and die by that sword

Imagine turning down Chelsea and who knows who else, only to then be kicked to the curb a year later. Once De Rossi retires, the romanticism in this team will be completely dead. Just another club for players to use as a stepping stone to greener pastures.

Can’t win with some people. Keep current team= no ambition. Make moves to add much needed creativity in midfield = romanticism is dead.

Breaks my heart watching it :(
I want the fans to put banners at the trigoria, calling the management out, only time I feel it’s necessary.

Go check out Nainggolan’s likes on his twitter page. It’s all fans telling him how much they love him, and how he’ll always be a Romanista, even under the Nerazzurri colors. Brought a tear to my eye.

Implying 99% of players who play for Roma don’t see the club that way

Well, if nothing else, Monchi will solidify his place into Roma's history by being the man to engineer the stupidest transfer in Roma's post Scudetto history. We all know that it takes a special kind of stupid to be the best in this particular category.

1% is still a heck of a lot better than the fat zero we are heading towards. Seems like we've always been a club with players with romantic ties to the colors. Even if it's only one or two at a time. It's sad to think that may finally come to an end just to make more room for YouTube highlight reel specialists.

It is the part with us taking Santon that pisses me off the most. Is Monchi even aware how bad this dude is? And please don't tell me here's here to be 'backup'. Why would a team with our aspirations need shite players for backups? How would you guys feel if we had to field Davide Santon in a Champions League Round of 16 match? What's the point of offloading Peres if we're bringing in yet another donkey? I am baffled by this move. Unless we intend to use him as a bargaining chip right away, this makes zero sense.

But is there space? Even if Gerson is sold, it still leaves us with DDR, Gonalons, Stoorman, Pellegrini, Coric, Cristante with Pastore coming.

Looks, like we are getting Hagi's kid too, who's an AM. I know he struggled at Fiorentina.

I really hope we are starting a 'B' team because honestly, Hagi, Coric, Bianda are project players and I don't see any of them making this team better next year.

I was going to say, surely even those work have been calling for him to leave must watch that and feel a little bit dead inside? The guy looks devastated. Part of me wishes the whole thing to still collapse.

Yeah, I didn't want him to go, but I saw why we might sell him. I just didn't want to pile on dudes who were really affected by his sale once it was clear he was gone.

He scored a lot of goals that got us the ugly win, and there's nobody in the game right now who has nailed down the tackling technique like he has.
