So they are just staying strong in that position ... because Navas has for the most part been outstanding for them. You can argue with another keeper they don't win La Liga in the 16-17 season.

With the De Gea debacle, with rumors every year of another GK coming in, and now with Courtois, it's amazing how much disrespect they've shown Navas. Gotta be because he is not marketable ?

    France v Croatia?
    Pssssh... Child, please.

With the trivial matter of World Cup FINALLY behind us we are fast approaching a more serious matter.

The Helmond Cup returns this weekend!

And what better way to start than having reigning Cup holders Sturm Graz opening the 2018-2019 Helmond campaign in the Austrian Cup where their first round opponent will be 4th division side ASV Siegendorf of the BVZ Burgenlandliga! :D

A new season requires a new thread, so if a new 'Other Teams' thread is not up by Saturday I will post one. Dammit. :p

Well, not necessarily because they can sell Navas and maybe even break even financially. Courtois is 5 years younger. Three years from now there will be no comparison between Courtois and Navas. For a goalkeeper, age 26 might mean 8 more top seasons. So they gain medium and long term, and lose nothing short term.

    We spent more on Gomes.

Rosenborg with a decisive penalty in stoppage time beat Valur 3-2 on aggregate. They'll play Celtic in the next round.

PSG President Nasser was at Neymar's institution auction event yesterday.

Yeah, he is going nowhere this year.

Don't know. But R9 knew how to run straight at defenders better.

He was a crazy athlete. I don’t think Cristiano was genetically gifted athlete like Ronaldo 9. Reminds me of how 18 yr old LeBron had the athleticism of a top tier NBA player. I see lot of Ronaldo 9 genes in Mbappe.
