So it's no reflection on the Canadian domestic competitions. It may be part of the reason MLS has opened an office in Canada, to provide assistance with North Americas third D2.
That made no sense Says you and the NASL is a failure. Favorite team? Chelsea, In Canada? Used to be TFC until I realized that I couldn't identify to it, same for Montreal. I respect Vancouver because they actually try to play Canadians Good for you! Glad for you! I mean it LMAO.... Oh you're adorable. It's Liga MX and it ain't even close Well, The minimum salary being higher than NASL and the domestic quota being low means that talents are more likely to sign with CPL, a stable league than a leaguenwho could fold at anytime. I admit...then again, I don't live west Attendances? Actually, they aren't. It won't be single entity structure but more so, like the NHL structure
Oh believe me, we all known how much of this is to be blame on the CSA. It was a joke until Vic montagliani took over. It's a reaction to CPL. Too little too late. Garber wants to expand MLS brand in Canada but that will never happen with CPL aggressive plan to make the league in Canada
nfl owners started mls. I am not anti-CPL i hope it does well, history says that will be tough to do but if they can even better. Here is an honest question how many MLS level Canadian Players are there? Will the CPL have a women's league as well? If not the NWSL needs some Canadian teams!!!!! Cascadia Cup represents the history of the Vancouver Whitecaps, Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers (all in the BIO-Region of Cascadia) since the original NASL.
We all know it will be be tough but we will make it work. How many Canadians MLS level playing? A handful, is be shock if it's higher than 20, I could be wrong. Canadians don't count as domestic but internationals and I'm fine with that. I disagree that Americans should count as domestic on Canadian teams. Hence the necessity of CPL so more Canadians can play at a higher level than the status quo. There was word that the CSA wanted CPL team to have women clubs. Also heard NWSL wants to expand to Vancouver. Montagliani imposed a moratorium on US leagues having teams in Canada, we don't know what the new CSA President thinks about it. I disagree with NWSL expending to Canada. The women program is very strong and the girls got their second straight bronze medals. I prefer we stay the course until we can give opportunities to women like CPL is doing for men. Go to know. Perhaps when CPL arrives in B.C, they will include Metro Vancouver and Victoria

Off-topic another 5,000+ crowd for Toronto Wolfpack as they beat second place Barrow 70-2 in the English rugby league third division. It seems a bit unfair when a team of full-time professionals plays part-timers who were without 4 of their best players because they had to work.
True, surprisingly, Division 3 is way to weak for Toronto Wolfpack. They are sure to promote to D2 by the end of the season.
Montreal Impact to play in Ottawa at TD Place against the Ottawa Fury in a friendly match http://www.journaldemontreal.com/2017/06/05/limpact-jouera-un-match-amical-a-ottawa-1 Interesting quote: Nous aurons la chance d'aller jouer dans la région d'Ottawa et Gatineau pour la toute première fois depuis que nous avons joint la MLS et nous espérons voir tous nos supporters de cette région au match.» Translation: We will have the chance to play in the Ottawa and Gatineau area for the very first time since joining the MLS and we look forward to seeing all of our supporters in this area. Oh, MLS...Better late than never I suppose...Then they wonder why they never conquered Canada...sigh
Are they wondering that, though? If "conquering Canada" was truly the goal, they could easily expand further into Canada. Perhaps the goal was not to conquer anything, but to incorporate three specific markets that would be good for the quality of the league.
Garber himself is saying it, he said as much when he visited Montreal while taking shots at the fan base, the team, the city and even the mayor...Godd job at being Bettman, Garber! MLS is reacting to CPL. They officially lost any chance they had to replicate what the other major leagues have done by wasting 10 years.
Not having one all-Canadian matchup on Canada Day seems like a large wasted opportunity by MLS. #VWFC #IMFC #TFC— John Molinaro (@JohnMolinaro) July 1, 2017 For Canada's 150th anniversary on top of that...Keep up the mistakes and missed opportunities to grow in Canada
More Canadians watched MLS playoffs last years than Americans while only being a tenth of the entire US. Try again
You do know this is a poster who has had different names, and been on different boards who even Canadian fans role their eyes at and ignore. There is a reason I have the fun with him that I do....well, the Montreal stuff is 100% true. Insufferable. Calling him a brick wall would be kind.
