They will be building a stadium there to bridge the gap until Freedom Park is done. The Chicago Fire are officially leaving the stadium in Bridgeview. https://desplainesvalleynews.com/exclusive-fire-leaving-bridgeview-p4677-90.htm It is expected that the Fire will play games at Soldier Field starting in 2020. They may be planning to build a soccer stadium at a new location but that hasn't been announced.
