Wizards waived Jermaine Hue yesterday according to the MLS transactions page.

Dave van den Bergh replaces him on the Wizards' roster (according to Wizards' roster page).

That leaves Houston and Chicago as the only teams with no in-season changes.

P.S.: As an aside, Houston just loaned 3rd keeper Martin Hutton to the Portland Timbers.

If you're counting loans as in-season changes, the Fire loaned David Mahoney to Seattle about a month ago.

Too much added work to keep track of loans, I imagine. I just mentioned it as an aside without any intention that it be included in "the list." Also, loans to USL teams are pretty much subject to recall at any time, as I understand it, so they technically don't count as inbound or outbound transactions (unlike loans in Europe where the player is committed to the acquiring team for the loan period).

I'm not dealing with loans. If someone else would like to start a in-season loans thread they are more than welcome to!

    Shaka Hislop to F*C* Dallas.

Watched Jermaine Hue for Jamaica against England warm-up match, where everyone seemed to agree he had a good game considering it was a lopsided match. Why didn't it work out in KC and why isn't he even worth a trade of some sort?

The Wizards still have his MLS rights, per MLS rules, so if another MLS team wants him they will have to work out some type of compensation (draft pick?). Of course, the Wizards have a lot less negotiating leverage with him not on the 28 man roster.

But he is free to sign somewhere outside MLS (unless MLS somehow were able to keep him as a "pool" player continuing to pay his salary-- extremely unlikely), including USL-1 or outside the U.S.

Also, if the Wizards don't get a worthy offer from another MLS team, the Wizards can hang on to his MLS rights just in case they have a season-ending injury, in which case they could bring him back.

Crew have released midfielder Dayton O'Brien. Crew received roster relief for season ending loss of Jon Busch, Jonny Walker and Frankie Hejduk. Crew have brought in Brazilian YI Eberson with intention of signing him but he isn't signed yet.

Back in late May or early June, the Crew signed Dominik Jakubek (previously with the NPSL Chico Rooks and MISL California Cougars) as its backup goalkeeper. He is on the senior roster.

It's not listed on the transactions page and I saw no announcement/press release, but he's dressed as the backup keeper for full MLS games in addition to getting reserve team action.

For what it's worth, Jacubek is gone from Columbus. Gaudette is now healthy enough to play and Gruenebaum might be ready in a week or so.

Not sure where you rank the big Ryan Johnson to Chicago for Jack Stewart trade RSL made, but man, are the fans of both teams ever excited over it!

A Tico fan also popped by the RSL forum to say that we will soon acquire Jafet Soto - a fantastic pickup once upon a time. No confirmation yet.
