i still find it hard to believe the writing wasnt on the wall when gio went to dortmund instead of staying within the cfg family. thats gotta sting internally.
Salt Lake with a pretty interesting hire on the academy side, with experienced Belgian youth coach Arnold Rijensburg coming onboard as director of coaching. It's an ambitious hire; color me intrigued. Lengthy article in The Athletic.
I wonder how his hire will affect the RSL-AZ side of the youth program. We could use better curriculum, coaching, and organization from top to bottom.
He coaches a few of the boys ECNL teams and state league teams. The problem is the lack of training continuity from top to bottom. You got some teams playing kick and run and others building out of the back.
So the plan was to get 300,000 coaches certified between 2017 and 2022. Hopefully everyone will be on the same page by then. And if Paul hadn't left Notts to move to Rangers in 1991 we probably would have been in the Premier League.
Jason Kreis was offered the job and sources tell me that his “counter offer” offended the decision makers leading to the offer being pulled. Freddy did a job last year and deserves the chance but how difficult is this task?! #MLS https://t.co/34oWkPA4me— Taylor Twellman (@TaylorTwellman) December 3, 2019 amazing lol

Honestly, this is probably the best they were going to do with the state the team is in right now. At least he has some credentials/experience...we'll see how he does.

Yeah, we know nothing about him in Chicago, either. Apparently, he worked for our new GM's consulting company.
