The Athletic: What does a director of player personnel do? A Q&A with MNUFC’s Amos Magee The piece that will expand significantly is the integration of academy players into our first team and our reserve team, should that ever get up and running. emphasis added
In other words, readers of that article still have no idea what a Director of Player Personnel is supposed to do.

On one hand, the level of coaching has been horrifying. On the other hand, at least it's now improving. “Many of us have never been coached like this."-Sebastian Lletget on USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter’s first camp. From Kevin Baxter's L.A. But we appreciate it, especially me. I learned a lot, and that’s one thing I told him after the game, is that I learned so much in this camp, and I’ll continue to learn and study the way he wants to play this game. I’m definitely up for it.”
Las Vegas Lights (currently coached by Eric Wynalda) take a shot at Puebla for hiring El Chelis... Fourth time? 🤔🤔🤔 ... it only took us once to learn. #VegasWynalda #WeAreReady #VivaLights https://t.co/pW0gzIa335— Las Vegas Lights FC (@lvlightsfc) February 7, 2019 1093356444064178177 is not a valid tweet id
If I were a soccer team and I had Eric Wynalda as my coach, I would stay quiet about other teams' coaching hires.
As a coach, Wynalda doesn't seem to bad.. He just has a habit of "speaking his mind" which is both refreshing and annoying.

The Earthquakes and Almeyda just lost to their USL affiliate Reno 1868 FC 3-0... The #Quakes74 are getting burnt repeatedly in transition by @Reno1868FC, who are now up 3-0 just before halftime. Seeing TFC once again run around with their pants around their ankles is like seeing an old friend that you haven’t seen for a few years. Welcome back, old friend. It’s good to see you once again.
Good for him. David Horst was my first Timbers "boyfriend". I will never forget how he held back, held back, held back and then BAM, clobbered Fredy Montero in the most perfectly legal way in a playoff game quite a few years ago.
