In other words, readers of that article still have no idea what a Director of Player Personnel is supposed to do.

On one hand, the level of coaching has been horrifying.
On the other hand, at least it's now improving.

“Our job is to learn, and he’s teaching a style of play that – it’s not going to come easy to a lot of guys,” Lletget said. “Many of us have never been coached like this, to so much detail. But we appreciate it, especially me. I learned a lot, and that’s one thing I told him after the game, is that I learned so much in this camp, and I’ll continue to learn and study the way he wants to play this game. I’m definitely up for it.”

If I were a soccer team and I had Eric Wynalda as my coach, I would stay quiet about other teams' coaching hires.

As a coach, Wynalda doesn't seem to bad.. He just has a habit of "speaking his mind" which is both refreshing and annoying.;)

Does he actually coach this team, or is he on the phone from LA during games?

If your two coaching hires have been El Chelis and Eric Wynalda, you have a type.

The Earthquakes and Almeyda just lost to their USL affiliate Reno 1868 FC 3-0...

Reno held off the Quakes in the second half with a bunch of no-name trialists...

MLS teams looking for a new coach should at least interview Ian Russell

Seeing TFC once again run around with their pants around their ankles is like seeing an old friend that you haven’t seen for a few years.

Welcome back, old friend. It’s good to see you once again.

Good for him. David Horst was my first Timbers "boyfriend". I will never forget how he held back, held back, held back and then BAM, clobbered Fredy Montero in the most perfectly legal way in a playoff game quite a few years ago.
