Why oh why does the ESPN+ feed NOT have the RSL crew? The Quakes announcers are two of the worst in the league......
Incidentally, all of the RSL players who appeared for the US 23s on Sunday are playing tonight. Owner Dell Loy Hansen took his private plane down and picked them up to help with travel and recovery issues.
The ref never blows for play to start though so even if he kicks it the ref will just call it back. From the LoG: "If the restart of play needs to be delayed for a ‘check’, the referee will signal this by clearly holding a finger to the earpiece/headset and extending the other hand/arm; this signal must be maintained until the ‘check’ is complete as it announces that the referee is receiving information (which may be from the VAR or another match official)" Now if he did this process is a whole different question. But a player can't negate a check by quickly playing the ball.
I thought he had already signalled play could start in this instance. I would have to back and check.
I may be the only one (in part because no one in Colorado can watch the broadcasts anymore) but I really don't mind listening to Fleming and Balboa call games any longer. They complement each other well and have worked out a lot of the annoyances (or I worked them out perhaps).
I definitely agree, as I have said before. I think they are one of the best duos in the league, actually. One of the least annoying, certainly. And that's what it is mostly about to me. Balboa has come a long way in that regard!
Agree 100%. Fleming has always been pretty good, and I think he's been an excellent influence on Balboa. They're both great to interact with on Twitter, as well.

LAG right back Rolf Feltscher just threw a water bottle through the ceiling in the tunnels here at Dick’s. At least that’s what the security guards say... #Rapids96 pic.twitter.com/IIQh7AgIKV— Jake Shapiro (@Shapalicious) September 12, 2019
Sadly Fleming made it pretty clear on Twitter that if this Altitude fight with the providers doesn't resolve itself quickly or in a way that allows Altitude to keep their expenses at similar levels he's probably heading back to England next season. Honestly if the Rapids have to choose between using budget on a youth DP or something or keeping Fleming, its probably a better business move to keep Fleming. He's the best and most professional face this team has off the field.

After VAR review it was determined that since it just was after the closing minutes of the game and actually the ceiling jumped down and hit the water bottle there is no penalty there.

So my morning fun of seeing which Euro games have MLS connections led to a couple interesting ones so far. Celtic scraped a 1-0 victory against a Hamilton Athletic team that had Fon Williams in goal (not MLS but was on loan at Indy XI last year) and Markus Fjortoft staring at CB (Sounders second round pick in 2018 that ended up playing in New Zealand). Yanks Abroad board is probably happy that Chris Richards is getting playing time at Bayern II against a team that has Dimitry Imbongo starting for them.
