I'm not sure that 5-goal game was quite as boring as the commentary suggested (at least in the second half). Have they mentioned how high above the field they are? Disappointing result though since there was no comb.
FC Cincinnati have no business being in MLS, they're a glorified USL team elevated to a position they are woefully unqualified to execute.
Why make us watch this four ********ing times? We don't need this ********ing replay. Don't tell us it will be difficult to watch and explain that he's unconscious.
There's quite an honorable list for the title that FC Cincinnati currently holds. Chivas USA, the Revs under Heaps but before Jones, the Revs under Friedel, Colorado under Hudson, the Metrostars in the days of Lothar Matthaus, Tampa Bay just before MLS Mutinied against it, Red Bull under Osorio, the Dallas Burn, Toronto in the days Danny Dichio was their Only Hope, Dallas when they Burns, Dallas when the Devil take the Hyndman, DC United when RFK Stadium was in its death throes, Vancouver Vancouver Vancouver, The Nouveau Loons, Hauptman's Chicago, The Wreck Precourt Built in Columbus..... Of Lousy Teams MLS Blessed Is.........
Yeah. I was shaking my head at that. If it was a bicycle kick that connected it would indeed be a yellow.
FCC's owners have Billion$$$$...Sac Republic's owners do not..........FCC was also a top USL team...Sac Republic has not been. Unless you are an expansion team that is bankrolled with serious money & ambition.........it's going to be tough to compete right out of the gate. Ask Orlando fans how their playoff runs have been........
I like to know what happens next year, if a player stutter steps and draws the keeps off his line and the shot is missed/saved. What happens? Is the shot retaken and a yellow shown to the keeper?
Meh. Part of it is poor choice of a head coach and part of it is some really stupid trades. Deplange was starting in Ligue 1 last year. Bertone was a sub for the team that was leading the Swiss league. Waston, Ullola, Powell, and Garza were all solid MLS starters. Adi was a machine for a couple years. Problem was that they blew money on trades for players like Alashe and Hagglund. They failed to account for the fact that Adi has only been good paired with a certain style of midfield play. They've blown TAM on players like Tyton, Stanko, and Saief. Their roster over the course of a season would run away with the USL if managed correctly. Same thing happened with Minnesota. Lower league teams seem to see Open Cup success as some sort of barometer as to how they stack up with MLS teams, which is a fatal mistake.
