It would have been so easy for Vancouver to wear their primary white shirts with blue shorts. Instead two teams with dark solid colors with matching shirts and shorts.

 

Etienne Jr almost scored - all it would have taken was a slight deflection by MacMath as it went between his legs.

Vancouver's defense not looking too great so far.

 

Just came on here to bitch about this again. Another dark v. dark match.

The Best LB in MLS (TM) really is special going forward, and for more than just sprinting up the wing. He has moves to beat players and a quality cross to boot, too.

Whitecaps seem to play better in midweek games this season compared to weekend matches (or so it seems to me).

Anyone stoked for the FIFA U-20 World Cup? It begins tomorrow in Poland. USA plays its first game on Friday at 1:30 (CDT) against Ukraine. Second group stage game is Memorial Day also at 1:30 CDT against Nigeria. Final game is next Thursday, the 30th, also at 1:30 CDT against Qatar.

 

I'm recording all games involving France, USA, New Zealand and Tahiti. Looking forward to it.

Did Tahiti change its flag? The logo that was in the middle when the team played in the 2013 Confederations Cup reminded me of the old 'Java' logo! The one shown this time is noticeably different.
