If they could beat a 1/3rd of the MLS senior Academy teams, I'd be floored.

Only if you spot them literally 100 goals.

As someone who probably comes off as the "interloper from the NWSL boards" and a general WoSo fan... I say it's fun to joke that the WNT could beat the MNT but there's no way it actually happens unless it's 11v9 or something like that. And it has nothing to do with soccer IQ or skill - it's just the men are literally faster and stronger (same advantages most people claim fueled most of the USWNT's dominance in WoSo). NWSL do preseason scrimmages against MLS academy teams occasionally, and if you look at the "team lineups before kickoff" pictures, you can see that those teenage boys are already a full head taller than the professional women and have bigger arm and leg muscles. Without giving the women a player advantage or two, the boys (and certainly the men) will literally muscle and run the women off the field, even if the women are as good or better in the technical department.

    But we're waaaay off-topic now. X-D

Not if the referees give appropriate stoppage time after goals.

Considering the women's team lost to a u15 boys academy team by a lot (look it up) a few years ago...I am going to say you do not understand the level difference.

NCAA DI women's basketball teams find guys that play pick up basketball to practice against and lose.

I've heard it wasn't a proper game, just a scrimmage. Someone at Dallas tweeted the "result" and before they were ask to delete it it went viral.

It doesn't really matter how "proper" it was. It was supposedly 5-0 or something.
USWNT would never ever beat any top level pro or international mens' team...period.
People used to say the same crap about UT (Tennessee) women's basketball team and UT men's basketball team. If they ever played it would be brutal.
There is nothing wrong with it but the level difference between mens and womens sports is MASSIVE.
The thing i posted about DI Womens' basketball team regularly practicing against guys that play pickup games is true. There is a reason they do this. It is because playing those guys is a higher level than they could ever get by practicing against each other.

Any scrimmage involving US national team at any level is going to have top officials on a top field. Watched in person a hand full of matches with US Women full national team and U20 national team and I'd say they were at a top tier U14 level for boys (depending on time of year as boys are quickly maturing at that age).
The women were smarter, more disciplined, bigger, stronger, but lacked the same level of agility/quickness/explosiveness as boys. Most of the games were pretty even, but the U20 women lost by something like 9-0 or 9-1(which was an anomaly as they usually try and succeed to get competitive games). Now imagine a good team of HS freshman against men of any reasonable. Top girls can generally hang with top boys until about U12. Once puberty begins to kick in, physically it is all over.
Not only is there is huge physical difference there is a big difference in technical ability as well. Go to a local park where kids play pick-up or kids practice by themselves. 9 out of 10 times the kids I see kicking the ball around are boys. I'm also being very generous about the 1 in 10 estimate. Boys in general are a lot more invested in sports the girls are. Given the return on investment playing high level sports provides, it also points to the fact that girls mature mentally way ahead of boys.

    5-2 I believe.

Serena Williams might struggle against your local country club pro but she's the highest earning American of all time.

I always imagine SKC vs RSL as a local derby, when in fact it's a thousand mile 15 hour drive.

Earning money has nothing to do with level between men and women, but that said I was referring to only team sports. Individual sports are another animal. It is possible you could find a top womens player in some sports that can compete with some professional men. Now if you took the #1 top woman against the #1 man they likely wouldn't be able to compete (depending on the sport). There are some "sports" where they could, like marksmanship sports or possibly billiards. I am not sure about a sport like bowling...there is still a strength aspect to that, but a lot of it is precision.

Don't take any of this as me saying I think womens' sports are bad or worthless. they are just different and should not be compared to mens' teams just because they are the top of the pile in the womens' world.

This is my last post on the topic. I didn't start this topic, just replying to people that replied to me. I completely understand this is way off topic for the thread.

    22,363 average this week.

22,342 in LAFC, I wonder how much they could average if they had a Atlanta/Seattle/New England/Vancouver size stadium?

Probably less because that wouldn't have been able to sell all those early season tickets without scarcity.

They had three years like Atlanta had to get to 30k+ season tickets, so I wouldn't be shocked if they could have replicated the same.

But then they wouldn't be able to jack up prices as high as they are.
