OCSC management competing with Revs to see who's worse.

The staff didn't know that Will Johnson had a clause that if he played XX number of games, his contract was renewed. They went over that by one game.

Are you saying they were "caught off guard" by this clause?

I was in a sports pub in Stamford, CT on Sunday and two of the forty or so TV's were on the RBNY-Columbus game (during a Jets game and other general American football). What are the odds you'd see that at a mainstream sports pub in the Boston area?

Goalie of the year winner announced...

I also want to point out an argument that happened here when the Revs chose to not even join the lottery for Robles, "eh, he's not that good anyway." In the meantime, we've leaked goals. Glad we didn't even bother, another Burns win!

I still can't understand why you wouldn't enter every single lottery you could to get a free player. It makes no sense, but it's typical of the Revs "why bother" approach to everything they do.

Considering this one was for a coach, I think its fair to give them a pass

No, he's referring to the lottery for Luis Robles. The Revs were afraid to enter, because if they won, they'd be locked out of any future lotteries for the rest of the year. Not that they ever entered any of those, either...

Burns is the proverbial man that never gets married because he is always afraid someone better will come along (lotteries, roster slots, DPs, etc).

One of the costs of perpetual flexibility is a preponderance of inactivity.

Our odds of "losing" a player in the expansion draft just went up.

I'd be surprised if Cincy did NOT take Cody Cropper...

Yeah, you could say that about a lot of our guys who have been at least decent players but for whatever reason, fell out of favor. I can see someone thinking that they'd be better in a different environment.

Can somebody answer a question about the recent Portland-Seattle series? Portland won 2-1 at home, and Seattle in turn won 3-2 at home. So on aggregate, they're tied 4-4, but Portland had two away goals to Seattle's one. And yet they went to penalty kicks. What am I missing?

Away goals only count during regular time. Once they went to extra time away goals count the same as home goals. Each team got 90 minutes to score away goals, if they were worth more in extra time then the away team would get a fairly steep advantage. So when the game was 2-1 at the end of regulation (3-3 aggregate, 1-1 away goals), they went to extra time. Both teams scored 1 goal in ET (4-4 aggregate, 1-1 away goals)

Don't worry, neither did some of the Portland players, who started celebrating before they found out it was going to PKs...

Prediction: MLS Cup will be between one team that has never won it before, and one team that has...

Haw! Yeah... right! I'll believe it when I see it.

You are a charlatan! No one can possibly have such heightened skills in prognostication!

have to find out if NE exposes him first. If they protect 2 keepers do they protect the soon to be 34 year old journey man making 110k or the soon to be 26 year old that showed promise but went from 1-3 on the depth chart making 73k.

Andrew puts together six different Best XI lists. Revs don't make any of them. I can't find another team that was omitted (didn't check that hard, though).
