You're not making any sense..... Goalkeeper doesn't influence offsides calls, only field players do. Larin is AGEAD of everyone but the keeper in that shot. Therefore there could be an argument that he was offsides when the pass was made. That said, the angle of this shot is not great.
Tyler Deric on that fourth goal. Exquisite AF! http://matchcenter.mlssoccer.com/ma...timbers-vs-houston-dynamo/details/video/98256
I've run the Week 3 numbers, and I'm here to report that nobody is toast yet. Not even the lowly and pointless Revs.
@Kappa74 is right, but it's a common misinterpretation of the rule. The last opponent is almost always (but not always) a goalkeeper. Hence the misinterpretation.
From the random file: ex-Liverpool player Robbie Fowler was at Rio Tinto to see Brooks Lennon (RSL Academy player pipped by Liverpool, now being loaned back for the season) play.
I didn't see the play in question. But let me edumacate u real quick like... A player is offside if they are behind the SECOND to last defender at the time the ball is played. Typically, the last defender is the goal keeper. However, it doesn't matter what position a player plays. A goal keeper could come out to punch a corner and be 8 yards out. Whiff and be out of position. Two of his team mates could be closer to goal and they would be the two relevant individuals. One could be standing on the goal line while the other is on the 6. Anyone on the other team between them would be in an offside position if the ball is played to them. Granted the ball isn't in front of them...
Good news out of Dallas as Ryan Hollingshead took part in a reserves game against San Antonio for his first action of the year. Victor Ulloa is also back and fit to add to the rotation. That team is about to get deeper. Young DP Anibal Chala will be out for a while after hernia surgery. pic.twitter.com/epd1XLKuWA— Carter Baum (@CarterBaum) March 19, 2017
For the record. I screamed out "J-League Goalkeeping" in the middle of the stadium when that happened.
I know of only one person that actually does have me on ignore. If more people had me on ignore I think that would help improve my roguish bona fides. But I don't think I have such bona fides ...
Offside, not offsides. Also pretty sure your incorrect statement and multiple people correcting you doesn't warrant the tone of your response..
I said the Goalkeeper does not influence offsides........how was that wrong exactly? Goalkeeper could be at midfield.......doesn't matter if the offensive player is in the opposing half and ahead of the last outfield player when a pass is made......... Sorry I didn't spell out my response........geez, when did everyone get so sensitive around here........
Because the rule isn't last outfield player, it is two defenders. In the example you gave, the attacking player would be offside because there is only one player between them and the end line. When you decided to troll in a neutral thread.
