new National training center... Sporting Kansas City coach Peter Vermes directed a group of 35 people down a passageway Monday, serving as the unofficial tour guide for a $75 million structure. On his left, he pointed toward a cryotherapy room, designed to accelerate muscle recovery. On his right, there was a hypobaric chamber, a room with adjustable altitude. After a step backward, he explained the benefits of another space with motion analysis. And on it went. That's great they have some new equipment. The USMNT should set up a field in a giant sauna with full blast chanting and foot stomping to simulate road games in the hex. Hope it translates to the field.
Now they just need a device that develops player's foot skills - and one that prevents defenders from being wrong-footed. Come to think of it, that cryotherapy chamber could have come in handy during the qualifying - if they had locked Omar Gonzalez in it until qualifying was finished.
Incredible that the Revs are in the same league with teams that have a Beckham or a Zlatan... MLS is...."eclectic"....
MNUFC Kristian Dyer @KristianRDyer Hearing that everything is a done deal between Darwin Quintero and #MNUFC. Exciting move for the club and the league. The Eagle has landed #zLAtan madness pic.twitter.com/4CPF9DpBX1— Adam Serrano (@AdamSerrano) March 30, 2018 Just wonder if the Revs ever pulled their head out of their asses and signed a big name would the team and supporters do something like this to welcome him?
Zlatan. Enough said. Although thanks to him, doesn't LAFC now share the title with the Revs for only teams leading 3-0, to lose 4-3?
Sorry quoting myself since I should have double checked before posting - It was reported Seattle was only other team to come back from 0-3 and I though it was against the Revs - but they came back to draw 3-3 against Revs. It was DC United that lost to Seattle and now shares that title with LAFC.
TOR won the first leg of their CCL match, 3:1 over Club America, but not without another halftime dust-up in the tunnel Just like in the playoffs vs NYRB last year. Accusations fly after Toronto FC, Club América clash in BMO Field tunnel April 4, 2018, 12:56AM EDT Charles Boehm
Apologies if this is elsewhere, gang, but didn't immediate see it. Appears you guys actually converse around here unlike Atlanta! I was looking for a little guidance on game days. Does Gillette have a dedicated away fans section? Was thinking of doing an Atlanta double at the end of May as the Braves are at the Fens the weekend before the Wednesday night Revs match against Atlanta United
There's an area for away fans, I believe it's 116 (above the tunnel where your plans come on/off). Tailgate parking is free (starts 3 hours before game time), you're welcome to stop by the Supporter's Lot. Outside of some random heckling (never taken to an excess), you'll be given beers and food if you'd like. There's no public transport to the game. You'll have to drive from Boston.
Fun to watch Atl-LAFC play in front of a large and rowdy crowd. Jeff L and Michael P playing together against Benny (et al). Good to see Revs alums doing well.
I was at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Waterford, Connecticut and I was surprised to see this game on at the bar and people actually watching and paying attention. Just goes to show how soccer (if done well) is slowly and surely encroaching on mainstream American culture to the point that it is pretty much the most normal thing in the world.
